Lol! It was the fear of Germans turning communists that led to western allies change their approach. Germany's arch-nemesis in ww2 the commie Soviet Union were feeding food of 1500 calories to people in their occupation zones, while western allies were feeding only 1000 calories. Also, Britain got more than twice the number of Marshall Aid (28%) in comparison to West Germany (11%) and France got 15%. You Brits should calm the f down. You were supposed to be the manufacturing hub in "Europe" after WW2, having the resources and strategic routes/trade routes, but your UK was under rationing till 1953, while rationing in West Germany ended by 1950. The "Allies rebuilt Germany" is a myth. Britain's Marshall Aid was a grant, not loan which wasn't the case for Germany. The debt Brits talk about is the post ww2 loans Britain asked from the US which has nothing to do with Marshall programme. Also, Adanaeur returned the favour to the US by making West Germany join NATO and decades later, Kohl honoured the German-US relationship during reunification process by making reunified Germany stay in NATO which was the US condition for Germany's reunification. Brits and French were against reunification and were asking Gorbi to send troops to DDR to sabotage the process. So much for Thatcher being "muh anti-commie". Lol! It wasn't Reagan, he would've delayed reunification by listening to Thatcher. It was GHW Bush. German reunification credit goes to German citizens, Chancellor Kohl, Foreign Minister Genscher, then President George HW Bush and Secretary of State James Baker plus Gorbachev to some extent.
