When I was in high school marching band one year our theme was military so we had to dress and train like in the military. Our band teacher was a retired army vet and her brother was still in it so he sent her training videos and we had to go through boot camp from June to March which was the end of competition and everyone with long hair had to keep it in a slick bun. But oh how it felt good to brush out your hair afterwards and scratch your scalp. It was heavenly

@@modaozushiphase not really. I never personally joined JROTC but my father did and a friend of mine did. They provide you with your uniform and everything and they’ll take care of everything you need. They will also inform you of everything you need. The only real advice I can provide you is when you do presentations for school, DO NOT lock your knees. I’ve seen plenty of people pass out and throw up when in stance because they’ve locked their knees and stopped proper blood flow. If you also don’t know, JROTC is pretty much classes prepping you for basic training
@@modaozushiphase hey there, I’ve done MCJROTC for 5 years, to give a summary of what JROTC is like, it’s basically your normal leadership class but with a military structure. You’re not required nor encouraged to join the military. Tbh it doesn’t set you up for basic it’s honestly quite far from it so there’s really only 2 things ya need to know before hand. 1 is that you’ll be doing some type of physical exercise one day a week. (For me it was every Monday) 2 you’ll have to wear the uniform provide with your hair in regulation one day a week (mine was every Thursday) For males its three inches on top maximum and between 2-0 down the side and back of your head Females it’s a tight bun up and off your collar (like her hair in the clip) Other than that you just learn and grow as you go. It’s a great class, good luck!

@@modaozushiphase hey there, I’ve done MCJROTC for 5 years, to give a summary of what JROTC is like, it’s basically your normal leadership class but with a military structure. You’re not required nor encouraged to join the military. Tbh it doesn’t set you up for basic it’s honestly quite far from it
so there’s really only 2 things ya need to know before hand.
1 is that you’ll be doing some type of physical exercise one day a week. (For me it was every Monday)
2 you’ll have to wear the uniform provide with your hair in regulation one day a week (mine was every Thursday)
For males its three inches on top maximum and between 2-0 down the side and back of your head
Females it’s a tight bun up and off your collar (like her hair in the clip)
Other than that you just learn and grow as you go. It’s a great class, good luck!

Fr, I can relate to this so much. Anyone from JROTC planning to go to basic training, I'm telling you JUST CUT YOUR HAIR! You can grow it out later at AIT and your first unit, trust me you will regret if its too long 😭
