My daughter just told me about that! 😂
Hi where I can contact you , I’ve just ordered and paid already in my VISA THIS ULTIMATE CRUISE PLANNER
Thank you and got your email with attachment of this planner. Looking forward for Cruise in three weeks
I bring 2 pairs of shoes - my sketchers Mary Janes, and one pair of low heels for formal nights. The sketchers go from the ship to the beach, and are great for walking in.
I also cruised with my ex husband, and had a blast. I remembered why I married him, and also why I divorced him.
Wao
😆😆😆😆
Just remember you were there both times too
I love my Skecher’s Summit!s When I know that a lot of walking may be involved, I just do not leave home without it. lol
I always take several books with me to read on my balcony. When I am finished I leave them at the ships library for someone else to read.
I've never once regretted overpacking. Its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
I agree! I'm going on one next week but I'm definitely trying to not over pack as I'm sharing luggage with someone else and I want to make space for items I might pick up
Yes, yes, yes!!
I ALWAYS end up overpacking. Mostly, it doesn’t bother me except for trying to make sure I have space for purchases to take home. 😂
My regrets would be shoes with heels; even kitten heels incase ship rocky, you can easily twist ankle; purses for outfits; not necessary; don’t have space on dinner table; uncomfortable trying to keep balance on lap, don’t want to hang on chair. One year brought a bath rob; don’t need. All the jewelry choices for outfits, usually end up wearing only earrings or one set over and over. Still not sure if I should bring Fitbit/smart watch to count steps; not sure how wifi will work and if cost worth it. Always regret bringing too many or too little outfits, still overthinking clothes and shoes, but getting better. I think I’ve decided not to bring soft drink, just order water and soft drinks on cruise app to be in room when we arrive.
Thanks for sharing!
Who else didn't wait til the end to Google upside pineapple? That's hilarious 😂 😃
Haha - not a mistake we want to make, unless intended of course 😂
@@LifeWellCruised I love how you don't judge and only strive to help everyone from first time cruisers and seasoned cruisers have an enjoyable experience 👍
Upside down pineapple: plays well with others. 🤣🤣🤣
Oh my gosh! I didn’t know that 🤦🏼♀️ The only pineapple on my cruise is a piña colada 😂 🍹
😂😂😂😂😂 I’ve heard about that one already!!! I just stay away from any pineapples decorations, cruise door or clothes!!! 😂😂😂
i brought 2 books and my goals were tooo take a nap daily
to see a sun set
a sun rise
the stars on a sea travel night and
read both books
goals accomplished 🥰😊💫
I brought 3 books on our last cruise, read all of them, then donated them to the library on the ship. I had gotten them free from our library at home😊
the heck with bringing sodas or water! go to the bar and enjoy life 😂
Bring one empty water bottle and keep refilling it, simple and easy
The only cruise I’ve been on was with a good friend over 20 years ago. She was basically a wet blanket the whole trip, including the ONE excursion she agreed to go on. I think I’d I ever go on another cruise, I’ll be alone! 😂
I know it’s crazy, but I always bring twice as many undies as days on the ship. After sweaty excursions and activities you will shower more than you think.
I took one of the stick on bras to wear to dinner one night. Well let's just say the stickyness came loose while in the restaurant. Thankfully it was dark :)
Hahaha
My husband and I have been on over 200 cruises and I still learn something from you everytime. Thank you for sharing.
How fun!! Thanks Sherry that means a lot :)
200 cruises - you must’ve seen SO MUCH of the world - I’m very jealous!
@@FraserAtSea
We are old and almost decrepit, but we have been around. Thanks, have a great day.
@@cruisegal4991 😂😂😂
Whoa! That’s awesome!!!!
I regret not bringing a casual sundress for dinner, instead of the dressier dresses I brought, which weren’t even considered “formal”, but definitely a lot dressier than the shorts and tees people wore to dinner. I was actually taken back at how casual people dressed for dinner. I guess a lot of things have changed since my last cruise. I actually like dressing up for dinner on cruises, but felt way out of place.
Thanks for this info. It's been 9yrs since I've cruised and your comment about dinner attire was almost shocking 😳 I like casual BUT shorts and tees at dinner!! May I ask which ship allowed that? I have been searching for a nice sundress but not having any luck 🙃.
I love dressing up for dinner! It's the only time I get to wear my dressier clothes.
@@Mom23kittiesHello from sunny Arizona! I can attest to this very casual attire in the MDR on both Celebrity in Nov 22 and even over Christmas on Princess. People wearing shorts and t-shirts and flip flops to the MDR shouldn’t be the norm in my opinion but you shouldn’t feel out of place if you do want to dress up on your cruise. My husband and I dressed up to go to dinner every night and we loved it. On casual nights we wore slacks and I wore a pretty blouse but on “formal” nights we dressed to the nines. I feel like the people who didn’t dress appropriately for the MDR were the ones who felt out of place. Yes, sadly, things have changed and not for the better. People live very casual lives these days……what’s wrong with dressing up a few nights on a vacation you’ve spent thousands of dollars on?? Just my opinion….
I felt dressed up with mine that were not formal but a little more dressy but I wouldn't worry about what others wear just as long as your comfortable. I love getting dressed up because we don't go out and get dressed up often.
I wear dressy clothes because I love to dress up! People are too casual in my opinion. To each his own. If I could get my husband to wear a tux I would be in heaven! He wears a nice suit and I bring two formal dresses and other nice dresses for dinner. The dinning room is elegant, I should be as well. I usually bring 3 hats, my husband brings one but wears all the hats during travel. I bring a kindle. I think hard bound books are a good choice. I leave them in the library. We don’t bring our Yetis because we misplace them or forget them. We bring an older camera so we don’t loose or damage the good camera. My husband writes for the newspaper and magazines so he likes to take photos. He is also a birder! So a camera is essential! We are cruising several times this year. One will be on Royal Caribbean my first time. I am very excited. Coco Cay here I come! I do love any violinists on a cruise or at a resort! I like your videos and find them informative and helpful!
I have never had a problem having too many books but often have the problem of not enough books. That said, when traveling nowadays a Kindle or Kindle App makes it much easier to travel with as many books as a person wants. I love sitting on a lounge chair with a view of the ocean, a book to read, and a drink. One of the best parts of cruising.
❤
I agree, except don’t leave ur device sitting in the sun-it will overheat & then you need to let it cool down in order to read more… I won’t say how I know this. 😂
For the floppy hats, it is a must-have for me. I burn so easily. But my trick is to pull my hair in a low pony or bun, then I use 2 bobby pins, one on each side and anchor it down. Easy to remove for security. Takes an additional 15 seconds. I pack clothes in it and around it so that it does not get crushed at the airport, and wear it on board.
I 100% agree that bringing the wrong people will ruin your vacation! We are taking a cruise on Grandeur of the Seas for the first time. My teens have been on lots of the larger ships and love them, but I knew they wouldn’t enjoy Grandeur. Especially when it meant my college-age daughter missing a week of precious summer break and my high schooler would miss a whole week of school preparing for finals. I asked if they wanted to come and they were wise enough to say no. We will bring the elementary aged kids because they don’t care about a flow rider. They just want to eat pizza and ice cream all day 😂
I'm taking my 12 yr old next month Our 1st, not what I would prefer for My 1st; no other option
I regretted bringing heeled dress shoes. High heels and a rocking or rolling deck is an invitation to a sprained ankle.
I regretted bring a lot of makeup. Frankly, tinted sunscreen, mascara and lip gloss pretty much covers any situation.
I knew I was going to several different climates, but I brought too many outfits for each climate.
Finally, I brought too many dressy outfits for dining. One dress and one pair of dress pants are plenty.
I think a wide-brimmed hat is essential for sun-drenched cruises. All mine have a chin strap to keep them on my head in the wind.
So does mine. It's a crushable one so easy to pack.
I used to pack different shoes and formal dresses but have streamlined a lot during the past three years. I find that cruises have gotten a lot more casual and relaxing. You wear what you like.
I think your most valuable tip was taking the magnet clips for the wall. Hang your suit to dry, post daily newsletter and excursion tickets, etc., etc., etc.! This summer we also tried packing cubes. My teenager stole all but one but it kept her very organized and was so easy to pack and unpack.
That’s great!! Lol my own kids are now packing cube converts too 😂
I bring magnetic hooks and the fold-down fabric storage boxes so it keeps our clothes better organized/separated and a spot for all the shoes without them spreading out . the boxes don’t take up much space on the bottom of my suitcase and worth it
Dec 2022 we were on newly updated Carnival Radiance. Magnets did not work on any walls/doors in our room. So disappointed!
@@kimmathie2569 Im bummed to hear that, Im on the same ship in August 2023, my first cruise, Im bringing magnetic hooks, hope my room has metal somewhere
We just got home from our very first cruise. It was fantastic! We are definitely smitten with cruising now! I watched several of your videos leading up to our cruise and I can honestly say they helped me prepare so well that there wasn’t anything I brought that I regretted or found to be unnecessary and conversely nothing we needed that I hadn’t brought. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and videos!
Can you give a couple of examples? Prepping for my first cruise.
I will be bringing the magnetic wall hooks, but on the advice of my daughter, will place them where they will not be at eye level for any of our party. If the ship rolls and you lose your balance, you don’t want to fall into/onto a hook.
I’m with you on the shapewear. The only thing I bring are those slightly smoothing “bike shorts” that help prevent our thighs from getting irritated when we wear a dress. But they are imminently comfy.
If it’s a dress that I feel needs “shapewear” I don’t bring it
Thank you! I'm not bringing my little black dress from 30 years ago on any more cruises! It fits. Barely. I feel like a sausage before dinner. After dinner I want to run screaming back to my stateroom and put on a muumuu!
Yas! I came here to say this! Best decision ever!
Very helpful Info. Thanks
We've brought our share of unnecessary items but the only real regret was bringing work. Sometimes you have to, but its better to just leave it at home. My f.i.l brought his phone on his first cruise with us, and went into withdrawal when service was lost, but eventually learned to enjoy not being tethered to it all day.
Thank you for all the tip. We used some of your tips in our recent cruise
This was so interesting! Thank you. 😊
You are quite articulate. Thank you!
I completely get that an expensive camera might be a waste of space for someone not comfortable with it or who doesn't regularly take photos as a hobby. For the casual travel photos, our smart phones do a great job. But I don't leave home without my DSLR camera and it's variety of lenses and filters (and often a tripod). From sunrises to sea birds on board and flowers to landscapes in ports, photography is a huge part of my cruise. So for anyone really interested in photography, taking a good camera along is really worth it. Otherwise, you have a great list in this video.
Thanks for sharing! Yes definitely for someone who knows how to use the camera it’s worth bringing. You must come home with incredible photos
Great content. I would put the wig hat in a bag, but never wear it, when going through security, lol! I also put some wigs in the bag along with it, an updo, curly one viola, no bad hair nights, quick and easy. Yep, wrong people are a no-no. My husband and I only like to go together, to do our own schedule, & things. Friends, we can get together at home. We don’t want to hear, what are we doing today, or I don’t want to go to that restaurant, when on a cruise. For other people, vacationing with a large group might work for them, for us, no.
Love your ideas!!
Kinda don't have a choice when you are going through chemo....had one of those type of hats but they are wicked hot 😳
@@y2k448 sorry you are going through that. I kinda have no choice either, since my hair is genetically very thin, and one side even thinner than the other. So, I need a wig, or hats, without hair, pretty scarves. I make the best of it.
@@janicecroissiert9116 No need to be sorry.....it was awhile ago.....I feel for you tho.....🥰🥰🥰
I bought a sunhat from Monroe and Main that rolls up and snaps shut with the hatband. Just unroll and wear😊 it's very convenient.
It's also super cute but when rolled is very tight and small.
Thank you! I really enjoy your cruise tips. I find them very helpful. This is our 3rd cruise as a couple and 2nd with our children. Very excited!!
Hi! Thank you so much for providing the link to your ultimate cruise planner. It helped make me organized so I didn't miss anything!
Yes, I always bring shape wear
I regretted leaving my gym clothes behind. I absolutely don't regret bringing some snacks specifically for excursions. Food isn't always readily available, shuttles are late, and a hangry husband isn't fun.
Yes this is soo helpful comfy over cute love it
Number 8! Oh, yes...I couldn't agree more. I've just booked my first post-pandemic cruise and I'm going _by myself_ for just that reason. Can. Not. Wait.
For people who are sun sensitive, Solumbra (SunPrecautions) and Sunday Afternoons are great hat choices--lightweight, chin straps, packable, and some of the designs have really wide brims
I love bringing my GoPro. I attach it to my balcony and take Timelapse video or time warp videos. I’ve captured some awesome shots with it. And it’s small enough to pack away in luggage. Just used it in Alaska last week.
Must have got some incredible videos in Alaska. Thanks for sharing
@@LifeWellCruised was on the new discovery princess and the weather was amazing. Made for some cool shots.
I love your videos and have helped me organize and keep my cabin neat. One thing I always bring is a waterproof backpack. I use it for rainy days and on snorkeling excursions.
Glad you said about the hat/hair as I was going to bring mine and now I'm having second thoughts...
Great content!
Thanks for watching!
Great 👍🏻 Video Content.
If you have a one piece bathing suit, you can use that as ‘shape wear’ in a pinch. Heaven knows I’ve used mine like that on the odd occasion. Though it’s really only suitable for shorter events because going the loo is not the easiest.
When it comes to shoes I take a few different color of ballet shoes and one pair of insoles. Super comfortable and takes up very little space.
On my first cruise I bought a suitcase, yes, a suitcase of shoes!!!!!!! 😱😂…..wore flip flops, my sneakers, and one pair of dress shoes … lesson learned
😂
Thank you for this video, need to know what not to bring. Yike I'm a new cruiser, need all the tips I can get
Ilana Thanks so much for all of your helpful tips , will be going on our first cruise in January 2024 ! So excited ! 🥰
Your hooks for the cabin walls are so awesome thank you for the suggestion
Everyone please get a few pack of these hooks
Hello 👋 How are you doing today?
I have to say you are my favorite.. so much great info. I’ve been on so many cruises and my last cruise was the first time I used the wall hooks.. such a great tip I learned from you! I loved them. I always overpack and every time I swear I will never do it again… then it happens all over again… live and learn (I hope). Thanks again!
Awe thanks Denise. Lol I try not to overpack too… but I figure if that’s my worst quality (lol maybe not?!) that things could be worse 😉
Llook at Tilly hats. It floats and will be replaced at 50% of the cost even if lost! It has a chin strap and packs flat and can be strunched up and it bounces back. Baseball ap gives no sun protetion to the neck and ears
I 💯 % will always bring on a 12 pack of sparkling water or soda. I don’t drink alcohol and I’ve found the iced tea and coffee (which I usually love) on most cruises are pretty bad. I love having my own drinks to put in my pool bag for reading on the deck. Honestly I’d rather not pay for drink packages or drinks on the cruise if I don’t have to.
I brought my Spanks shapewear and was happy I did! At the tail end of the cruise, I do not think I would have been able to fit in my dress on the last formal night as I ate so much during the entire cruise. Why not bring it, so lightweight and easy to pack? Made
Me feel better about myself but honestly people do not really care
Thanks!
Yes on the shapewear!! I’ve packed mine and no, never wore it. What was I thinking? If anything, you need to pack more clothing with elastic. 😂
After 14 cruises I have learned the hard way to not over pack. When it comes to shoes I limit myself to no more than 4 pairs.. 1 pair of good sandals ( Clarks Cloudsteppers) are the best in my opinion,1 pair of good walking/active shoes like Sketchers for when I get off the ship, and 2 pair of comfortable yet stylish dress shoes to wear in the MDR,Casino, are night life.I bring more Tops than bottoms because my bottoms seldom get dirty whereas tops are more likely to get soiled. And I bring costume jewelry that goes with multiple outfits and if i loose or break it.. no big deal.As for bathing suits, if i bring more than one I make sure they are the exact same bathing suit just in different colors.. this helps when it comes to tan lines.. nothing worse than having different tan lines when you get home. Yes i use sunscreen but like many i don’t apply it as often as I should. ✌🏻❤️ Love your Vlogs.. very informative ❤️
thx
Thank you so much for naming some good shoes
Thank you. I’m freaking out because I don’t have the right swimsuit it feels like. It’s the worst thing for me to buy. My friend has 4!
I bring a pair of sandals for onboard ship and pool. One pair of walking sneakers and black flats for dining room. Saves space when packing.
are dressy sandals okay in the MDR
I’ve been binge watching your videos for a cruise my family will be taking next year. I had to google upside down pineapple. Seriously who comes up with this stuff lol. My husband and I did one cruise for our honeymoon a decade ago and now we are taking our kiddos on a Disney cruise. I’ve learned so many tips from your videos.
Lol right? So glad you enjoyed the videos! Have fun on your Disney Cruise 👏
Hi there, We just got back from our first cruise.I truly wanted to THANK YOU for all the tips you have posted on your channel. I did follow all you have said and that surely help us to get the best experience. Thank you thank you, we love cruising and can't wait to go on our next trip :)
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed!!
I bring my shapewear by Jockey! So comfy and I love it!
Going on a 4 month around the world next year….very helpful video
I just ordered and printed out the ultimate cruise planner. I am so excited to start using it! My husband and I are going on our first cruise in March to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Your videos have been so helpful! We are beyond excited!
That’s exciting! Happy anniversary 🥂 Thanks for your purchase Jennifer
We went on our first cruise and July and we had so much fun. I know you guys will enjoy it
Congratulations to your anniversary. I'm going my first Cruise in Dec with my hubby. He finally agreed to try out the Celebrity Cruise. I'm glad to learn so many information and cruise tips prior to our trip. I still puzzled about the tipping. We are not big social drinker and opt out the packages. Do I tip them everytime I ask for water or soda? I am going to get the planner too it helps me to get things organized.
Most addictive things on earth: 1) Cocaine 2) Alcohol 3) Sugar 4) CRUISING! Have a wonderful time!
Your going to be hooked ! It’s so much fun and relaxing!
Happy Anniversary
Thank you for all of your advise and tips. We just returned from our first cruise and took my hanging shoe track, gifts for my steward. Magnet hooks etc. I was so prepared and it was a wonderful cruise to Alaska!
So glad to hear!
What type of gifts did you give your steward? What a lovely idea
My floppy sun hat had an elastic strap that was broken when I bought it, but I tied a knot in it, and it worked so well on board. I was terrified it would blow out to sea, so I skipped it the day we were outside on the sun decks. I regret that more simply because the bright sun gave me the worst headaches!
Thank you so much for all hard work devoted to your videos I appreciate it so much xoxo 😘 💙💙🌈🖤💝🤎💔💜🧡🛳🛳🧡💔🤎💝🖤💕💖💕🖤⚡️🌈💙💙⚡️✨✨💗💚💚❤️💞💞💞❤️💚💗✨✨🌈🌈💙💙💕🖤🖤💔💔🧡🛳🛳🛳🛳💜💜💜🤎💕💖💙💙🌈🌈🌈🌈
We brought a specialty soda that I knew would not be on the ship for celebrations. We also brought snacks to have with us when in port and didn’t regret taking either.
Sun hats are a must if you are cruising in tropical waters, particularly in the South Pacific (where ozone layer is actually thinner). You need the all round brim to shade not just your face but also your body. They also keep you cooler. If you are worried about them flying off then have one with a tie that can be tied under the chin.
I was going to post something similar. A baseball cap, as she recommends in the video, will only protect your scalp and forehead from the sun. A hat with a broad brim and security strap offers much more protection. Tilley Hats offers attractive, functional hats that also last a very long time - my first one is about 20 years old and still looks good!
Well said ,being a Queenslander ,a baseball cap is called a cancer cap in our family,
We took a Brita water pitcher. It fit in our luggage. Just needed to dry it on the outside at the end of the cruise.
I deff bring shape wear! Assets by Spanx in target never fails me. Feels like bicycle shorts.
Flexees Maidenform Cool Comfort shapewear is super comfortable. I love the romper. I wore it on my cruise this past week and felt way more comfortable than I would have just wearing regular underwear.
I will still plan to bring the shape wear that I bought coz that’s what I thought will be good under my swimsuit when I try the flow ride. I’ve seen so many videos of people getting their swimsuit removed when they tried that activity. I’ll let you know if it works out 😊
I’m really glad you mentioned steamers because I was going to pack one and now I’ll just buy wrinkle release spray!
Instead of packing a steamer, when you first unpack, hang your wrinkled clothes on hangers in the bathroom and run the shower, filling the room with steam.
We always bring our snorkel gear. I like knowing it's my equipment and is set for my comfort.
One of our bags was held on embarkation. It arrived about 8pm with a note taped to it to call a particular extension. Security came while I opened the bag. All this over a battery operated personal fan from the hospital. Once they actually saw it in person everything was fine, but it was a bit of a Hassel. Not sure how to pack this for future cruises without another scene.
This was minor compared to the 20 minute search my husband went through at the TSA airport check in.
He is a LVAD patient and has life support equipment on his body 24/7. We had TSA approval letters, diagrams of all equipment packed on carryon with explanation of use. Diagrams and labels for all equipment on and in his body. Before any negative comments, all equipment has been TSA approved for everyone who may have this. 4, yes 4 TSA agents refused to even look at the paperwork. We even had the lvad coordinator information. It was stressful, embarrassing and completely unnecessary situation. They even tried to "test" the equipment on his body! It is life supporting equipment. I went the extra mile with copies that could be left with security each time we came through if necessary. What really set me ablaze was the total and complete disrespect to us both and refusal to look at the paperwork that would answer any and all questions.
It git bad enough my husband disconnected himself for the alarm to sound so they would quit trying to push buttons which could cause a malfunction and kill him. We were cleared to travel by the doctors. I realize this is not a common situation but all items that are FAA/TSA approved should be at least shown to officers during training.
I never regret clothing choices but I do regret not bringing more flipflops😂
You have such great tips and info, I find myself watching more and more of your videos! My hubby and I have been on 3 RC cruises and one Norwegian ... looking forward to cruising again soon ... Your comfort with cruising since covid makes me feel more comfortable, thanks!!! PS - shapewear SUCKS!!! LOL!!!
Great ideas. Your hair is very pretty today 😍. Shows are always informative
Thank you 😊
Another fun video!!
As far as cameras, I am an advanced hobbyist photographer and I don't travel anywhere without my camera gear... anywhere. What I will do on my next cruise is, instead of lugging my whole kit (2 bodies, 5 lenses, flash, filters) I'll just bring 1 body and 3 lenses....and my phone.
My vacations revolve around my photography but, I do remember to put the camera down and enjoy the trip.
As a photographer myself going on our first cruise soon I would like to ask you if you felt you had to keep your gear with you all the time or did you hide it, did it fit in the cabin safe? I want to bring some of my good gear, but worried about leaving it in the room
@@theguru143 I hide my gear in my luggage under the bed when I know I won't be using it.
Mostly, when on the ship, I'll just use my phone. It is when I go out exploring that my gear comes with me.
I've never had an issue travelling this way.
Another interesting video!! I will have to be packing differently for my next cruise on Princess to the British Isles in June. I am used to Caribbean cruises!
I can relate!! Getting ready for a Canada /Nee England cruise and I’m also used to my hot weather cruises. Enjoy!
We have upcoming Norwegian fjords cruise and I'm already worried about lost luggage. I know we should just do carry-ons but we're 73 and 75 and I really don't want to be hefting things up into the overheads either! But when it's cold you clothes are thicker and take more room!
Regarding shapewear, I bring it to wear on formal and semi-formal nights. I want to look good in my dresses, not be self conscious because I’ve got various bumps showing. My husband also brings his tuxedo for formal nights. Granted, at this stage of life, we cruise on more formal cruise lines (Crystal in the past, now Silversea), so it makes sense. If we were still cruising on mainstream lines like Royal (as I did when I was in my 20s/30s/40s), that are less formal, we probably wouldn’t bring such formal clothes.
Thanks for sharing :)
1 axis Gimble is great for 1st time users who want more than a selfie stick. We found the 3 axis ones harder starting out.
People who don't know what the various lenses and filters for a camera do aren't photographers; they shouldn't just leave the expensive camera at home, they should leave it in the store. But for those of us that are photographers, taking photographs may be one of the primary reasons we go on a cruise. It all depends on one's goals.
I must admit I think the same. It is true, you will get a better pics using bespoke camera equipment but ONLY if you know what you're doing with it and how to stage the shot. I'm frequently amazed by how many people do still chuck money at cameras unnecessarily not appreciating they have quite a powerful point and shoot camera on their smart phone.
I focused on mix & match, neutral pants I can mixed with different tops or jackets. Comfort shoes.
I bring an expensive camera - not for around the ship but for excursions or great coastal views. Plus with some cruises, the Northern Lights!
I put ribbon ties on my floppy sunhat so I could loosely tie it and it still looks cute.
😭😭😭😭😭 the sun hat wig 😂😂😂😂
After COVID, we were only able to do cruises out of the U.K., and I fell into the trap with the rule ‘if you can get it in the car, you can take it on the ship’, and ended up bringing back SO MANY unworn clothes etc. Now that the ‘real world’ is open again, I’m back to taking one suitcases - I’d massively recommend that people only take what they need!
I’m taking my shareware!
Think I'm taking a small Brita when we go on our round the world vacay/cruise next year. Can always leave it in the cabin. Great tips on here!
Loved the "wrong people" comment & wish we'd seen this before our 2nd Alaska cruise .... lesson learned & please make certain you only cruise with SEASONED cruisers! We've learned ...
Yes, I went on a cruise with the wrong person …😖 luckily I’m going on another one and will get the opportunity to have the experience that I expected. I watched a few of your videos and it helped me pack only the essentials.
Another great and informative video! My husband and I regretted not taking the magnetic hooks and thank you cards on our first cruise!
Hello 👋 How are you doing today??
Yes. Taking both on our cruise!
Oh my, never would have guessed the upside pineapple reason!
Same with bringing soda. We brought two cases and had to carry it around until our cabin was ready and we didn't end of drinking all of it. Also we had to go back to our cabin just to get it sometimes. When we go next time, I would bring it again but I will only take one pack of slim cans .
I did bring my Shapermint shapewear on my last (and first) cruise. I loved it! It smoothed me out and I found it very comfortable. The key is getting one that fits comfortably. I only wore it once, though...
Aren’t Shapermint products wonderful??
I have been binge watching you and some others for my cruise in 2 weeks. I will be with mom, so not too many things needed, we are both low maintenance lol. I have learned so much from this and those commenting. Yes, too much close and probably books. I have to meditate on this. LOL
I'm a reader too. I usually only pack a couple. The ship (Carnival) has a library with books left behind by other cruisers that are free to take. If I run out of my books, I simply borrow and return books from there.
I just now subscribe to your channel because I saw a couple of other videos listed on the homepage and they are very good tips. I’ve never been on a cruise before, but I’ve always wanted to and I’ve been watching other cruise videos as well. They have subscribe to what I want some more information from you as well the videos that is.
I did bring magnetized clips and hooks on my second cruise. So much better. Kept things in order and we didn’t have to look for things every time we needed them. Great hack.
It’s funny, I brought them and didn’t use them at all. 🤷🏽♀️
Where do you attach these magnetic hooks?
@@Beachandpool the author of this video has mentioned that most cabin walls are metal. You can pretty much stick them up anywhere you want. I know she’s mentioned it in other videos because it stuck in my head that this was ingenious and such a space saver!
@@lilrustee interesting! Thx!
My daughter read a comment from someone that said if your hanging heavier items, to place the magnets on the ceiling (near the wall) because both, the walls AND the ceilings are magnetic on MOST ships. But heavier items on the wall (unless super heavy duty hooks) will slide down the wall, but hooks on the ceiling don’t… 🤔Also, somebody else said one of the newly renovated ships did NOT have metal walls or ceilings…
I do bring shape wear as I am more uncomfortable and self conscious with out it. I do bring a lot of shoes to go with my outfits but I don't bring any heels. They are all fancy sandles. I do wear the sun hats but also use a hat pin to keep it on when on the ship.
