How To Easily Troubleshoot Battery Issues On Your Boat!

Today I will show you how to troubleshoot battery issues on your boat. I have been having issues with my trolling motor setup. Before I would head to the lake I would check my battery gauge and it would say everything was good. However, once I got to the lake my trolling motor would just barely spin. I am running a 2 battery 24v setup and my marine batteries were not even a year old. I show you how to locate the problem using a volt meter. In my setup, my battery #2 was only holding at 10v straight off the charger. Battery #1 was still reading 13v so it was still good. I still replaced both batteries because I want to know that both batteries are good. This also ensures that both batteries wear the same and should have a similar life expectancy. I also show you how to wire a 2-bank onboard charger to your 24V system.

I have a 12v system but recently had to replace my battery. I also upgrade group sizes when I did mine. Hate how little room there is in my boat to get the battery out.

Yeah you have to be pretty careful. I did have to move my chargers around but it wasn't a big deal
