Absolutely beautiful video...powerful remembrance to the men and watches that enable our ability to enjoy horology today. Thanks to all for their service and the craftsmen for the pride they placed in to these pieces. Well done!

i have 10 Glashutte (Tutima) and Hanhart WW2 watches. Two of which were tracked to actual pilots. One was a recon pilot of the Kriegsmarine. This one has the German eagle holding the "Offending German symbol" (for obvious reasons I don't want to be specific). This is the only example I have seen like this. The symbol was engraved on the back of the watch. This is the Hanhart. The Glashutte (Tutima) was from a German BF109 German ace. I obtained the watch from is widow along with his book (with a note from his wife), photos and his medals. I lost have a complete collection of the Dirty Dozen watches. I am missing the toughest, rarest, to obtain, the Grana. I've obtain other WW2 and newer type military watches to include on of the rarest Rolex's, the double referenced 5513/5517 MILSUB. Another star of my small collection is a Hanhart from the West German Air Force, an F104 pilot who had to bailout after a mishap and his watch was lost during the ejection. Some 30 years later it was discovered in the woods and "brought back to life." The numerals have faded to a kind of pink color.

Thank you for such an historic video, when I was collecting vintage military watches I had a hanhart single pusher Chronograph from the late 1930’s, shown at 3:58.
    Thanks mate.

I just aquired a military CYMA Tavannes watch with black display and triangular 12´ index with dots (lufftwaffe B-Uhren type-a inspired ) 36 mm diam. and in very wearable condition (military steampunk kinda vibe) without noticible restoration except the crown wich i suspect it was replaced for civilian use (aviation watches have large unconfortable crowns), i think i found a history jewel for 165 buckaroos, what do you think?
