would be interesting to see you implement some of these concepts into a JC4 speedrun.

Here are just a few clarifications that I failed to make in this video.
1.) the wing suit turning glitch only appears when you enter the wing suit when grappling straight up.
2.) The air brake is primarily useful for slowing your downward vertical momentum. By using it this way, you can prevent yourself from hitting the ground. But the air brake still slows your horizontal momentum down by a ton so it’s best to avoid using it as much as possible.
I also don’t think my grapple running segment truly showed how effective it can be so I recommended checking out my video on beating the intro in under a minute for a better showcase.

    Awesome video.
I agree with you, just cause has a lot of skill/potential with its movement. Different ways to play more advanced, if you’re looking to figure it out.
I see that you and I think very similarly when playing just cause, in terms of using cancels/learning the mechanics of movement. Your tips and finds were very cool to watch & learn from.
I can see you enjoy discovering new ways to move around more efficiently & to me that is the only way to play!
I play just cause 3 & have been messing with the in & outs of the Bavarium Wingsuit. Having tons of fun, thought I’d check out a just cause 4 video & was led here. Loved every minute!

I've tried both method for fast grapling while on wingsuit but it doesn't work. Can you explain in a bit detail. Is it animation cancelling?

If your talking about the fast wing suit exit, grapple onto something while in wing suit, press the wing suit key, then once you see Rico start reeling into whatever you grappled press the grapple hook cancel button. On PC that button is control.

@@clichedan7812 I measure hoverboard speed based on the puffs of dust/water kicked up by the board that are visible when traveling forward.
3 speed: three visible puffs, jetpack deploy speed, Normal

      Yeah, I’ve seen it.
I get a lot of his points, however, and agree with a some of them.
Just Cause 4 made some massive strides in terms of movement and combat but it regressed massively in terms of its overall design by moving away from chaos destruction and into repetitive missions. Also Solis and the games story don’t hold up nearly as well as Just Cause 3 and 2’s worlds.
However, I can’t really go so far as to say the series is “Ruined” as Avalanche put out danger rising with the express message of, “We understand what we did wrong, here’s a taste of what we’re going to be doing in the future.”

how do you cancel a grapple

    • @clichedan7812
      @clichedan7812  Před 3 lety +3

      It depends on your platform.
For PC, you press left control while your reeling in.
      On PS4 / 5, you press circle.
      On Xbox, you press B.
