I like simple water because it doesnt have annoying smell or oils. I dont seem to get dry after it like when I wash my face with normal water or other water cleanser brands. What do you think about michelle garnirer water cleansers?

Hi Dr. V. Thankyou for putting in time and effort to make such informative videos. Just a quick question on your recommendation on simple vital vitamin cream. There are 2 products on that name and the picture that pops up in your video shows ‘Day cream Spf15’ while the lists that you have mentioned are the ingredients that are in night cream. Can you specifically mention which one did you recommend? And if its the night cream, is the day cream good as well?
      Many Thanks!

I like that the SIMPLE ingredients are all simple but it's very affordable too. Hyram did a review on this brand too. Price is one of the reasons people don't have access to a lot of skincare products even if it's good for you.

Simple is a pretty nice brand. It's ecologically conscious, which I really appreciate, and all of the products are fragrance-free but all have a decent smell to them :3 I use their light and rich moisturizers and micellar water at times, and they all have pretty bomb ingredients. They do get the basics right.

This everlasting pih has been bothering since my teens and I never did know how to proceed with any measures which are not too harsh as I didn’t want to permanently damage my skin or age it .
Dr V you are right ! It is the most underrated skin tendency which I think most people with skin of colour just accepted that their skin does it and there is nothing that we can do to avoid pih or maintain a clear skin!
Until you came in and taught us how to take care of our skin !

Hi Dr V. Thank you for taking the time to make these educational videos on skincare. I know how precious time is when you are a working Mum and have a family to look after. I have been keeping up with most of your videos and would like to thank you for this particular one today as you have explained the differences between using soap on the face and a face wash. I’m a great fan of rice water and recently started using rice soap on my face - wasn’t quite sure weather this was the right thing especially having dry skin..... I think I’ll only use now and again in my skin care routine and stick to a fragrance free face wash daily. Thank you once again.... Keep up the good work.

I never have any serious reaction, especially that bad, from any skincare before.. Im 39, dry skin all over from head to toe, since teenage, so rich moisturizer is always what I often used, and am looking for.. I’m really curious which ingredient cause me that reaction.. it even made 1 spot of my skin off on face, and another one on my neck.. fortunately I have aloe gel to soothe right away that they dont leave marks.. I read some people also burned after using simple light, so If I know which one is the irritant, I could avoid it on other products

Love this again! You asked about products for men and these products are something I could recommend to my 19 year old son. The issue than teenage boys/young men can perhaps feel is that they don’t want to use products that look ‘feminine’. He has used Bull Dog which I think is found in Tesco (could that get any more masculine?!) Also Nivea for Men products too. For men, would a two step routine of wash and moisturise be enough? Again, it’s trying to overcome the idea of too many products. I have notifications on for your videos as I’m excited to hear what you’ll talk about next!

Dr V please could you do a video on PHA (polyhydroxy acids), it's a new ingredient to me and it sounds like it would be a good alternative to AHAs for SOC (used in conjunction with other actives of course) because from what I understand, the molecules are too large to penetrate the skin so they just sit on top of skin and exfoliate the outer layer.
Also, there's a product i've just bought that contains vitamin c in the form of sodium ascorbyl palmitate; I couldn't find much information on this ingredient so I wanted to ask if you know much about this please?

Thanks alot.i have been posting comments for the past 3 weeks asking you about SIMPLE and finally you did a review... Thanks alot. I am happy you spoke about the toner. Here's the thing I once saw a video about you discouraging us not to use witch hazel. So when I saw it in the toner I was like dang! But again I was like they said it's alcohol free. However like u said bottom line witch hazel was distilled with alcohol. But since it's a the bottom of the list that means it is less than 1%. Now let me validate your point. I used the toner for 3 days and immediately my break outs were back and my oil production was 2 times more compared to the times b4 I used this toner. So thank you DR V. This Kenyan boy is forever greatful for always learning about skin care from you.😎
