Concerning the TB outdoor Bivouac, it is the old knife that equipped the French Army (The can opener is used in the other direction: you pierce the lid of the can next to the edge with the point, you press the stud on the rim of the can and a cutting lever movement edge up). The TB Outdoor CAC is its successor, the different handle color of course. Bye.
For the french army pocket knife made by CAC you can find it in other colors like black, coyote, and a few other colors - with or without wine bottle opener... It is a really great pocket knife.
I am a dedicated Cold Steel Brother, however, 93 dollars for AUS10 on a 3 inch Verdict is a no-go. Mini Recons are still available in the same length, same steel, but you can get them for 45 for the Tanto and 68 for the Clip and Spear point. Yes the Verdict does have the DLC coating but that still does not warrant the 93 dollar price tag vs the Mini Recon 1
Knife prices are generally out of control now. Yes, there are lots of great "budget" knives, but what's considered budget is more than just creeping up - and mid-tier and luxury is just nuts. Just MHO, but it's kind of a bummer.

It's "replacing" the BIVOUAC for lunches as it's been mentionned, not a survival knife. Also it hasn't been mentionned anything about the spork that go with it, worth it if not included IMO.

Spyderco et al charge very excessive prices for the name. They damn well should because you people will pay for it. They couldn't do everything they do if they didn't charge as much and get as many sales.
seth, tip from fellow knife guy, suggest using first aid superglue (also called liquid bandage) for finger cuts. even common household superglue (CA) does the job to seal the wound. i see your pain

You’re correct that they are not technically pigs or boars, but Javelina and pigs are still each other’s closest relatives and form a clade (Suiformes). They are not more closely related to hippos.
Nitrox stainless steel aka Aperam MA5 a nitrogen alloyed stainless similar to Cronidur 30. It's a French stainless used for kitchen knives mostly, for $50 on that knife isn't bad👍. I can think of many less desirable steals used in that price range sweet deal 👍.
The symmetry looks awesome I love my original knife center exclusive with the white and blue. I carry it a lot for gentlemen like occasions. Awesome knife

Jack Wolf knives are consistently gorgeous, but I just can’t wrap my brain around spending so much on a slip joint. I guess my brain is more traditional in that area as well as the knife.

The Eikonic knives look like a miss to me. I don't care who designed it, I'm not paying 75-90 bucks for D2 and g10 or micarta.
