- In this video, I review and demonstrate the Kryolan TV Paint Stick, which is a stiffer cream foundation and I use the shade Ivory. Use can use the Kryolan TV Paint Stick in different ways, which I will show you in the video.

Great to see this product. And an amazing fact is, that in the fifties when tv began to start in europe, especially in Austria, almost the same product, but by Max Factor, was used by makeup artists for the program presenting ladies! And this product, has tv in it's name, because it's fine for this purpose!
Yeah, this is where they mainly use the TV Paint Stick, and you are right! As Max Factor was also one of the first makeup companies/brands to produce such products😊

Melissa Van Dijk At the moment, I’m using a L’Oréal true match cream and powder foundation set that is DEFINITELY not my true match😂 I had zero knowledge of my neutral undertone at the time of purchase. I just got Airspun translucent extra coverage face powder that I’m diggin’, so hoping this product will round out the classy king look 👑👏🏽 Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a Kryolan retailer near me, so I’m unsure of my correct shade :( I have determined that I am TRULY a porcelain (warm) 1W for L’Oréal True Match. Wondering if I should order a shade I think would work or keep trying buy it in person! Any thoughts? :)

It can yes, depending on how oily you get. You may need to use powder afterwards! Powder foundation, matte or a bit more drying foundation can be a bit better for oily skin types :)
If it's too yellow it is because your skin tone is not on the warm side.. neutral would be a better choice

Yes, you can also wear this if you have dry skin when adding hydration and a good moisturiser before applying the foundation :)
I sadly do not have a video like this on my channel. It mostly comes down to get your eye used to recognising the colours of foundations and skin tones of your clients, which takes time! It isn't that easy for sure! :)

Hmm...technically yes. However, make sure to properly remove it in the evening.

I have combo skin and my upper lip/(mustache area) and nostrils are super dry how can I make it work in these areas as I'm still learning makeup

I recommend looking into a hydrating toner and/or moisturiser (either use it all over your face or only on the dry parts) and then apply the foundation on top :)
Also, you can warm up the foundation so that it isn't as stiff anymore :)

and should i use a translucent powder (general one) after applying hte kryolan paint stick (not talking about the one of the same line )
If you want full coverage, yes. However, be more light-handed, and you need to set it with translucent powder; otherwise, it's going to move around. Alternatively, try their Digital Complex Foundation - it's lightweight and offers great coverage. I've been using it for a couple of years already.

Hello! Thank you for talking about this foundation. I struggle with blending this under the eyes. I wanted to make a request from you and that is that can you please, swatch the taupe shades in this foundation? I struggle to select a colour for contouring. For reference, I have olive undertone with pale skin. I can only use a grey shade or a khaki brown on my skin for contour. Anything else looks too orange, turns red (read NYX Blush in taupe, discontinued), too obvious brown Hoola by benefit and too yellow Hoola lite.
I have the same shade "Ivory" in tv stick and it is not a perfect match. In winter it is dark.
Can you please, swatch contour shades and talk about the undertones of them?

I only had the shade that I used in the videos because it matched my skin tone. I haven't tried any other shades from the Kryolan TV Paint Stick. I only tried their Camouflage Foundation (cream foundation) as well, which I like a lot! But again, I just tried the shades that work well for my skin tone.
Have you ever E-mailed them and asked them about what shade you should pick? That's what I have already done because I hadn't had a store from them near my place! :)

Is it suitable for very oily skin?
Hm...if you use enough powder yes, otherwise I recommend using a matte finish foundation that's a bit more ''drying'' on the skin.

I used the shade Ivory, but Kryolan has sooo many shades and different foundations that I recommend getting in touch with them via E-mail and ask for advice! :)
They also have different orange tones, like: 449, 508, 288, 522, 272, 272 H and 303.
Another great tip that I can share with you is: Check out Kryolan's Dermocolor Camouflage Creme Foundations! I love that one! I use the shade D62.

How do you find your shade?? Like in maybelline foundation I'm shade 220, and I tried to find it in the TV paint stick and coudnt, any suggestions??
I recommend sending them an E-mail and ask for advice. This is what I've done since it's difficult to find the right shade on their website and there are so many shades🙈

It's best to reach out to Kryolan's Customer Service to get the best advice, as they should know the entire shade range ;)

You can but you don't have to, if you feel good with only using it after the moisturiser than that's fine too! 😊

If you set it well with powder afterwards, it should stay put, yes. :)
They also have the Dermocolor Cream Foundation in white.
Very thick, cakey concealer Foundation. Good skincare is Key but ... if need to cover up, this would work indeed

Why did u not use primer
Because I used a good moisturiser before that and did not feel the need of using a primer :)
I use Mac studio fix in shade NW22 and Wet and Wild in shade Amber Beige, what shade should i choose?
Hey 😊 well that's a tough question since the Mac foundation is a different tone than the wet & wild shade...
I would recommend sending an Email to Kryolan and ask them what they would recommend + ask if you can get samples and let them know if you are fair, medium or dark.

@@ivyavitia5165 I used findation.com and it sort of worked out. It said my shade for Kryolan Tv Paint Stick was "Ivory" but when I checked on the website there is no shade called "Ivory" :/ So I guess I'll write an email to kryolan as well or try to find a shop near my city.
Yellow Toad there is a shade named ivory
Is Alabaster lighter than ivory please?
On their website, it appears that Alabaster is lighter but also has a slightly pinkish undertone, whereas Ivory has more of a neutral/yellow undertone.
Is it good for dry skin
It can, yes. Their TV Paint Stick or Dermocolor Cream Foundations are great. I prefer their Dermocolor Cream Foundation. However it may feel a bit heavy since it is a cream foundation but offers full coverage. If you prefer something lighter, I recommend looking into hydrating foundations or BB/CC Creams! :)

You don't have to use Kryolan, there are other more affordable makeup brands that you can look into.
