Nice, awesome! Upgrades always keep me excited about vinyl, they never stop though! I recently added an Ortofon Bronze, SVS Pro 1000 subwoofer and a Pro-ject Tube Box S2 phono preamp and fell in love with the music all over again! Keep up the great content, love your channel
That is such a great setup. Sit back and enjoy.
What I love about this kind of speakers is that they are not like horribly loud but with enough power to just seat down in your bedroom and enjoy the music....I think that is the way it should be. I mean why bothering the neighbours when it is just you who wants to listen to the beauty of music on LP?. Good work dude. Thumbs up for you.
You've got a great set up there my friend. Enjoy!
We have very similar setups. Same turntable and speakers. I started off with the speakers you had before but decided to compare them with the ones you have now and maybe kne more pair that should be coming soon to see which sound better. I added a sub as well, got a Klipsch one to match the speakers
I had the audio technica LP140XP upgraded from a uturn as well and it was a neat table. I liked the direct drive and the speed adjustment for DJs, it was great for playing my guitar with an album if the speed is slightly off on the recording (Paranoid by Black Sabbath is the first that comes to mind). Paired with an ortofon 2m blue it sounded great.
I returned it and just ordered a Fluance RT85 because I had speed issues with the 140 and I’m not a huge fan of the build material overall. The LP120 is a great table though!
Nice! My setup now is Denon DP-450USB player, combined with the Denon PMA-600NE stereo amplifier with build in phono preamplifier. Speakers at the moment is Audio Pro Black Diamond V2 :)
How do you connect the vinyl player, the receiver/amplifier with these speakers?
I highly recommend getting the 95ML stylus for that cart. Will make it even better than the 2M Red.
That’s right! No more inner groove distortion
I have the orange 95EN, and, my next upgrade will be the 95ML.
Smart and efficient way ro enjoy records. AT and Klipsch are a classic pairing
I bought the same combination of turntable + speakers before watching this video so I’m happy I did.
It’s a solid primer setup!
@@TheRecordSpinner I actually hated the sound quality of the speakers. I had some “crappy” Insignia ones that sound a lot better.
You should consider a small air filter to reduce dust. I noticed when you were showing the rear of the klipsch that there was a good amount of dust. I run a simple Honeywell hepa filter in my room at all times. I turn it off when listening sometimes but it's got enough speed settings and it's quiet enough that I don't usually need to. It really helps keep everything a bit more tidy when it comes to annoying dust everywhere.
Enjoying your channel. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!👍 why didn't I think of that?..
I also have the LP120 and for the Klipsh speakers I got the R-51pm model
Nice, enjoy!!!
Hi there. Great information thank u. I too have some KISS bootlegs under my belt. I have an Audio Technica AT LP 120 with a built in pre amp. If I want to connect to speakers like yours, do 8 leave the turntable in the line position and plug into the phono input? If u can give me the correct way that would be great. Thank u.
Glad to see you got a sub.
It’s as if your old setup was A Hard Day’s Night, and the new one Help!
Nice little cameo of the Let It Be box set behind you. When will you be reviewing that?
Thanks for the vid.
I have recently purchased a Sony record player with built in pre amp along with the Q Acoustics M20 speakers. I am also keen to get the Q Acoustics B12 sub woofer but I am unsure if I need an external amplifier/preamp or is there an easy solution.
Nice setup 👍 I am creating my own vinyl setup at the moment and was wondering what you're speakers are currently sitting on? Is it just a normal table? Kepp up the great content!
Very nice setup! I have the Audio-Technica turntable in black too. I've been thinking of the Klipsch speakers like yours. I have a pair of JBL 2060, that I found on ebay. I just wonder if those Klipsch would sound better, the same, or, lacking. The JBLs can really boom, but, lack in the crisp treble highs, for my ears.
I have Edifiers and an rt85. The nice thing about the Edifiers is you don't need a subwoofer. I'm curious about Klipsh. They have had some amazing sales around black Friday. I want their floor standing speakers, but they are overkill for the room I listen in.
Every set of speakers needs a subwoofer (or 2) if you want true low end.
Thoughts on Klipsch R-51M Bookshelf Speakers with AT-L60X-BT turntable. I’m afraid that are too big! I was getting the edifier R1280DBS because of the size. It’s a Christmas gift, and she young & she is brand new to turntables, so I could always updated as she gets older. Trying to get a descent pair of speakers. Debating between with 51M and 41M. Are the klipsch’s plug and go too like the edifiers? Thanks!
how do i set the phono/line switch on both the speakers and turntable? thanks!
Did you ever change over to the Ortofon red? If so how does it compare to the default cartridge?
Ha ha ha, Supertramp is back ❤😂
if I buy these klipsch speakers, I must buy a preamp too?
(connected to a turntable with no preamp installed)
Do the speakers come with a DAC? Can you use speaker cables with banana clips?
I have a gradiente DS-40 Receiver with 50 RMS / chanel. In this case: 41 or 51???
Hi...Very interest and good watching your yuoyube.
I have one asking about Audio technica turn table. Is good working Anti skate? Let me know please. Thanks
That was the best thing you could have done, s-can the U-Turn and add the AT. The nice thing about this quality TT is that it uses a universal, removeable, inexpensive head shell. Buy another or multiple headshells to mount your Ortofon or other cartridges. I have 9 different cartridges I use each to play whatever format record I want to play.
The U-Turn is junk, historically having speed issues, a crappy tone arm and suspension.
Instead of installing the Ortofon Red into your new turntable I would upgrade the stylus of your AT cart to a ML stylus. That will give you a much better sound quality improved over the Ortofon.
hey im a newbie, i got the bronze audio technica LP120XUSB bronze color and the same bronze speakers u have. I see u have alot of wiring behind ur speaker. Im confused about something, Do i just take the white and red cables that came with the audio technica and put them in the back of the speakers? the back of the speakers have black and red so im not sure what to do here, total newbie. But im guessing i Just take the white and red cables and connect them to the black and red on the back of the speakers, but then im wondering why u got many more wires on coming out the back of your speakers, what am i missing,, please respond thank you! I tried using the usb from my soundbar to my audio technica but I wasnt getting anysound, so i plan on getting those bronze Klipsch R41M speakers
The RCA (red and whites) go from the turntable to speaker. Then I have some speaker wire connected from the powered (active) one to the non-powered (passive) speaker. The black cable that’s running in the back is connected to the sub. Hope this makes sense!
Use K51s with my old Technics 1600mk2 turntable.
Can you connect the R-41PM speakers to an audio-technica AT-LP60BXT? We are trying but the sound is crackling and we can’t seem to fix it.
Were you able to solve the problem? I also have the Audio-Technica AT-LP60X and was thinking about buying these Klipsch R-41PMs because of their Phono input. Please tell me. Greetings from Peru.
I have the same issue. How did you resolve it? Did you have to get an amplifier?
The Record Spinner With your current setup, Do you still use a Subwoofer? , Is t worth getting a decent one even if you have a good solid pair of speakers?
The sub is just a little embellishment if you want more bottom. A solid set of speakers will get you by just fine by themselves.
That's cute
you forgot to update the description with your NEW gear....so i can click and buy
👍
So you take a analogue record have your speakers convert it to digital, and incorporate dsp. Why bother to listen to a record?
You'd be better off with better speakers and an actual amp or receiver.
Do You mean don’t use bookshelf speakers-use other types of speakers? Or are you saying that there’s better bookshelf speakers He could be using?
I wouldn't say going from a uturn to an AT120 is an upgrade, it's more of a sideways move.
Build quality of the AT surpasses the UT in my opinion. AT has been around a long time and you just can't go wrong with them. I'd love to compare the inner workings of both of these and see which one shines.
AT 120 all day between these 2. I've never been impressed with the U-Turn
