Ina Garten mentioned over and over again she used to be a party caterer. Preparing food for parties and gathering has to taste gourmet, rich and very delicious. Therefore she brought her inspiration for the show from her past experiences. If one thinks her cooking is full of fat and unhealthy ingredients, it is best they watch a healthier cooking show. As far as not being authentic to certain dishes, she shouldn’t be criticized for that, people posts videos frying an egg these days. So there is no one way of cooking a dish.

My mother may she rest in peace, would have the Food Network on and the barefoot Contessa was her favorite. Even though my mother did not understand a word of English the way the barefoot Contessa demonstrated and motioned over her food was understandable. I really don’t know what they’re complaining about because her food looks and is, absolutely delicious!

And that's assuming all the other chefs are healthy. Have they watched Food Network or Cooking Channel. All of them are full of crappy, high carb, high sodium stuff.

Ina makes wonderful food and has never pretended to cook low-fat recipes. If you don’t like it, don’t eat it! Go chew on some rice cakes! If this is the best they can come up with they are a joke. I have made so many of her recipes and I always get compliments. Envious people would have those critiques. Her recipes are awesome and easy.

This (and all the articles about the Make a Wish thing) makes it seem like Ina herself denied him his wish... you must know she has a team of publicists and assistants reading and replying to those kinds of emails. Do you think her public email address on her website goes directly to her? She probably never even heard about it until the family went public and the story made the news. Not her fault if her team didn’t respond appropriately.
And of course you’re assuming that she didn’t know anything about it when she might have. I’m going to assume the make-a-wish foundation has a very good system set up to get ahold of celebrities.

And second I’m sure Jonathan that ina knew about it they probably have briefing every shift every chef likes to know how their schedule is cuase Thats how they base their menus on everything is time and schedule with great chefs my point is even if this sous chef didn’t have time she could of faced timed the child it wouldn’t have costed her a flight or food cost make a wish pays for everything my grandson has leukemia or should I say had he had radiation he still gets tired i thank god for the organization make a wish foundation thank you 🙏 you have a great day Jonathan
I've been watching Ina for years and have her books, this is just a clap trap video to try and get some clicks. Perhaps if you watched her shows and maybe read up about her you would find out what a loving and kind individual she really is!

1. I don’t watch Food Network for healthy recipes...that’s like someone wanting to watch a reality show with no drama or cat fights. 2. You slam her for unhealthy then immediately slam her for drinking her coffee without all the sugar and cream that a PSL has? Most people I know in NYC drink their coffee black. 3. Trump is awful and I wouldn’t cook for him either. Elected officials don’t deserve our respect, they work for us and should earn it if they want to keep their jobs. 4. Actually the “traditional” Aztec pazole recipe had nothing to do with chicken and/or pork. It was human flesh. And hominy is NOT “dried and rehydrated maize.” It’s maize kernels that have had the skin stripped from them. ALL good vegetables have either bacon or bacon grease in the recipe (unless you’re either a yankee or a Brit)

I've never cooked one of her recipes but I do enjoy her show. I've gotten some 'ideas' on making some of my own concoctions differently to amp up the flavor. I prefer to watch Pioneer Woman (but I'm over the red chili pepper flakes) and America's Test Kitchen...I've done a number of those recipes with great results.
I don't like PSLs either. I worked at Starbucks for a year and yeah I agree with her.
I have all of her cookbooks and I have never made a dish of hers that was not fantastic. That being said, they are not recipes you eat everyday. That are recipes you save for special occasions, they are indulgent and fatty and salty and savory. You want to wow a crowd at Christmas or a dinner party etc...she is a go to for great stuff.
The Make a Wish thing...when I first heard I thought it was a jerky move because it's a sick child. In retrospect...I don't think she is a child person. I think she knows that and knows the child would not have had a good experience. She said no...she has her reasons, maybe even personal ones that are none of our business and she doesn't owe anyone an explanation. She shouldn't be made to do something she doesn't want to do.

They ate meats, and some fruits and vegetables. And when they talk about Mediterranean diet is the healthiest,research the foods you eat, they are Basically keto foods. I've gotten bloodwork done and my results came back amazing! My doctor praises keto after some of his patients blood work and overall health. And yes sugar and carbs are the ones that kill. Carbs are unhealthy, bad artery clogging fats and sugars are extremely unhealthy. Just do research and look at the healthy keto foods because I bet you, you were wrong.

Well I completely and utterly agree with her on the coffee front. I like my coffee to taste of coffee. It has to be strong as the Cooking Contessa dislike for President Trump and as black as her heart and as hot as hells fire. For her recipes everything in moderation including moderation. We are not going to be lying on our deathbed saying I'm pleased I had that salad.

I love Ina Garten! Im Mexican American and agree she botched the Pozole. However this was her take on it and we don't have to like it. She has the right to express her food and mind however she likes.

I liked watching her show, butter is best in most of the menu, just it depends on how to adjust or change the fats you're using. Mosttly i combine abit of butter and olive oil.

She cooks real food and it’s delicious! I make my swap outs to suimy low carb lifestyle but I use many of her recipes.
