I'm glad you gave it a second try Kendra. It's actually a pretty decent inexpensive product and the only gel that really defines my curl pattern the way I like. Im going to try it with the deep conditioner you recommended! Thanks for sharing!

WeR1channel I've never heard them say that... I'm pretty sure they will straighten once the weather changes.
WeR1channel: they always would tell us that when it gets more cool for the fall season that they would start to flatiron there hair.i think right now in Georgia the weather still get really warm.
Who said that? Because I'm quite sure they said in a video that they are looking forward to being able to straighten their hair.
You should definitely try the JBCO and flax seed eco styler gel bc it has a great hold and it's mad moisturizing.
I love Paul Mitchell the Conditioner, the combo with the eco styler gel works amazing on my hair. It's funny 'cause I also use these products when I shingle me hair!

He hair is beautiful but with that being said there is definitely heat damage that she didn’t used to have. It was one of the first things I noticed in the thumbnail of another video. It happens to the best of us 🤷🏽♀️

It's actually the opposite for me. lol The organ oil holds my hair better than the olive.

I feel like the argan is moisturizing but the olive oil is a harder hold (crunchy). The argan is better for styling and the olive oil is better for holding down your hair in certain styles (ex-ponytail, bun, edges...etc). With the argan I feel like it just has the right amount of hold depending on how much you add and it's moisturizing but I like them both but I prefer other types of oils over olive oil. Overall I like them both and it all depends on if you use them alone or mix them which will make you either have a love or hate cause everyone's experience won't be the same.

Eco Styler is alcohol free but still harmful. It has TEA, which breaks down hair protein. Myself and other women have experienced thinning from using it consistently. The Argan used to be my favorite. Anyway, I appreciate your honesty in regards to not having great results with a Mielle this time around. I like that you improvised with what you already had.

Yes, the TEA (Triethanolamine) can eat away at hair protein. To avoid ecostyler, I use Curl creams or leave ins with Curl defining ingredients to shingle (aloe, honey, marshmallow, slippery elm). I use Kurlee Belle leave-in or Andre Walker beautiful Kinks Curl Crème and get great definition. They are not as cheap as eco, but don't damage my hair. When I want super definition, I use botanical gels like Camille Rose Curl Maker or homage Flaxseed gel mixed with castor oil. Yes, you can mix your own version of flax-castor gel for cheap. Other good gels are from Alaffia brand Beautiful Curls line and I think Aunt Jackie's Flaxseed gel is TEA free. To see more styling options, youtuber "msdeekay" has S blog on the max hydration method gel options. To read more on TEA and hair loss, look up "you may want to avoid Triethanolamine" on the naturallycurly forum. Hth.
Minimal Assembly if you do protein treatments or use protein leave in's it would not be so damaging tbh

I'm not sure if you all have tried this before, but try breaking the gel cast with a moisturizer or curl cream, it breaks the stiffness of the gel cast better than oils.

Shea Moisture has some of the best oils. I was surprised to go to their website and find so many individual oils.
Velicia Williams the brand NOW has the best oils. Completely natural/unprocessed and don't cost an arm and a leg

So glad you gave eco styler another try. I've been watching you guys for years and always wondered why you hated it... I've used it for years and found that I get the longest lasting hair with this... first day is always the crunchest but if you have a nice leave in conditioner it just softens as the days progress and looks better and better each day! It is the only styler that I use! So glad you like it now!

The castor oil and flaxseed ecostyler gel is the best one! It’s new, doesn’t leave my hair crunchy at all, feels moisturized too.

Airielle Edwards ok cool, that always happens we get protective styles then after a while we start missing our hair lol. I had box braids for a month used alma powder in my oil mix and it thickened my hair up, I let my hair rest for about almost 2 months now I have cornrows and I wanna see what my oil mix is going to do when I leave the protective style in a lil bit longer, im excited lol but I know im going to start missing my hair lol
Once you said a affordable product you use to hate a just knew it was eco lol. Looks beautiful. You guys should try the black castor and flaxseed oil gel 🙌🏾

Gorgeous curls ! I do the same thing ! Conditioner mixed with eco styler argan oil. For shine & moisture I add either Moroccan argan oil or coconut oil. My hair has grown a lot since when I shaved off all my hair but I still have hair goals I can't wait to reach. Will be posting new videos soon !

I knew you was meaning this combo for some reason! When you said the leave-in was not so cheap but the styler was cheap. Honestly this is the best combo when it comes to using EcoStyle Gel. I got the tip from MahoganyCurls yeaaaars ago
U should try the new eco styler curl activator with aloe Vera. Leaves the hair so soft(no crunch) and super moisturized.

Hi Kendra, after using that gel in my hair I spray "Smooth'n Shine Spray-On Polisher" and my curls are defined without the crunch. I don't know if you are interested in trying that spray, but it works for me.

This is off topic, but I wanted you and Kelsey to try the smashbox always sharp liner in nude dark or dark nude. You will love this chocolate brown. I can’t believe it, but it’s replaced my chestnut by Mac. The fact that you can keep the tip sharp is amazing, AND the brown is a deep, dark brown. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Try the dove whipped mousse after your leave in and then just a little eco styler on the ends trust me it’s different from any other mousse

I hate my hair wet when it’s cold. Now that it’s cooler I wear two strand twists and get under the hair dryer before I go out. Love you girls. Thanks for the video. You’re hair turned out great 😍
