Saying that it's "still viable" is a misunderstanding.
GER has an amazing heal, An amazing counter, a move that makes your stand go away, AND make TS users cry, AND it has an OP awakening, and the skill tree cost is now super cheap! And it has a 1 shot combo with hamon (opponent must have TS so u can stun him with RTZ.)
Not only that, BUT It has an unblockable projectile, AND a heal others! Wich is great for teams OR against SCR or D4C:LT!
SO! GER is a great stand for: Dealing big boi damage, Stalling AND amazing for teams! AND jioufen did a GREAT job at using it!
Also the tree is an AWESOME move! it's always a W for you. There are NO downsides when using tree.

Can't rtz TS except in startup so you pay attention
High endlag on counter + they nerfed it
High endlag on scorpion beam
Has the summon life form which is bad
@@OverStrive2008 low destructive power, but the awakening increases it a lot, also you don't really need to rely on destructive power because you have the scorpions which do a lot of damage

@@epixerty An awakening that has a cooldown of half a year, and the projectiles are so slow and they have so much start up that you basically land them 1 every 10 years
Also, how much did the skill tree cost go down?
ger vamp was even more op before the update that makes ppl get an during bloodsuck

Boxing's plenty solid, it turns you into a tank with GER or GE, hamon makes you do obscene damage with GER though if you don't mind charging it up
For ger pluck is good too cuz u xan use scorpion on ground + pierce block blockbreak and boom, big dmg

Your tree gives you s as you raise up into the air. Proof of this has been me using GE and taking no damage from million pricks for a second while raising into the air from tree

idk why but when i was using ge hamon and i used heal when the opposing scr had yos up, it didnt reverse it and just healed them instead. is there something different with ger heal and love train?

If no then that's the reason
Yos deactivate instantly the moment your stand is unsummoned, that also explains why you still take damage from raging demon
While love train on the other hand still active no matter if you have your stand out or not until it run out of duration
