- Another one of Chet's masterpieces, so relaxed and groovy, first published on "Me and Chet" by Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed in 1972. I played it with an extended intro that I learned from Buster B. Jones.

you have no idea how many times i came back to this video all these years just to hear this brilliant arrangement
Been a while since I've been here. Always a delight to listen to you Brooks! I also miss the Buster!
🎸
That intro is so beautiful, mysterious yet all so familiar. I want to learn it so bad!!
Hey Alex, isn't that beautiful? I learned that from Buster B Jones! Slow down the video and watch it little by little, you will get it down!
its 1st day slowing down the vid hope i will get it down just like your vid thanks for posting bro
What a great cover and performance! By itself (without soloing) , Nashtown Ville is very short. The intro is really cool and makes for a very nice 3 minute tune. Really well done, Brooks. This one tipped the scales for me: I'm signing up to your Truefire Channel.
Brooks is the best hands down thank you for sharing your music God bless and keep you.
Great stuff here - classical then fingerpicking, harmonics, tremelo, and a sliding tritone ending! Very nice!
I need to put that on continuous play, just so I can smile throughout the whole day.
THANK YOU.
Nice remark Mike. Well said!
Whoa, Hoss - This is AMAZING!! I just keep exploring Jerry's material & saw this... yes, the intro is JUST as awesome as the song! 🤟😁🤟 Keep it up B.Ro.!!!
Thanks, Marlin!
I really enjoy to see how much fun you're having playing.
Thanks for all you do Brooks!
I just keep playing this video.
what a beautiful song, and so well played
Nice!!! Is there anyone better than Jerry Reed
Love nashtownville, great version! Picked up on a couple of chords differences you play that make it sweeter. Nice version to play along the second part with as well, thanks for posting!
Thank you, Neil!
The extended intro was great Brooks. Very well done, as always.
Nils

Excellent, Brooks. One of my favorites. Love the extended intro. How about sharing where that inspirational intro came from? Thanks for the song, buddy. Really enjoy your picking. Any chance you will ever make it down to Florida to perform?
Michael
Bravoooooo !!!
NICE!
Really nice...
YEAHHH
Hey Hans, thanks for watching!
Wow you have to listen to this youngster named Jerry Reed's version Chet and Me. he is a brilliant classical guitarist. Envy, envy, envy. Listen to how easy his Charleston piece is.
Hey Nick, thanks for watching and thanks for the suggestion!
Great!!!!
I Have a question: What's the name of the intro you played in the beginning? Thank you for your answer. Good job!
I've forgotten the title of the tune. I remember learning it from Buster B.Jones when I was a teenager, but the name escapes me. Lovely tune, thanks for watching!
Smoke! Run!!
If you have music or tab for this I would love to play this as well.

where can i get this guitar tab?
Hi Don, not sure where to find the transcription for this one - maybe try slowing it down to 50% speed on CZcams and seeing if you can get it from the video one bar at a time. If you ever want to do a private lesson I can walk you through how to play it too - reach me here: www.fingerpickinglessons.com/
Thanks for watching!
Not nashtowneville
You're right, it's "Nashtown Ville" I should fix that. There's an intro that probably thew you off too, but if you listen to the whole thing it's there!
