it's hard times, don't blame them..
i heard rumors that this model will be discontinued, 690 only will be produced in spain by gasgas (and eventually it will gone too), because the demand is too low _(that's why ktm makes an artificial scarcity with this model)_ and emissions are hard to get even lower
so yeah, be respectful to what you have _(possibility of buying best bike)_

🤣 so true... funny part is since other manufactures are just sleeping on one of the hottest bike hypes ever (sumo hype) KTM can do what ever the f*** they want so they raise the price and still have a friggn bulb in the headlight... for 12k euros. They cant fall asleep cause they are laughing all day

Rode 17,000 trouble free ks on an 09 model SMC. Missed the fun factor so bought a 2021 🤙
@@prezo1975 I had constant fuel injector issues with my 2008, so I sold it in 2013. I'd buy again if it wouldn't have issues. :)
KTM just give people a better dash and an LED headlight and this model would sell better!
LED headlight yes, dash idk personaly I do like the "supermoto dash", I would highly dislike a big "normal" dash on these bikes.
Imo the old dash is goat and if you don't want to go back to this expensive analogue / digital mix it's probably better to stick with the current minimalistic one

the ktm 390 is not crazy (it's an engine designed to be simple and solid, for the indian market) and the 490 will certainly suck (too heavy, no coupler and no performance, certainly designed largely by CF moto)

Please ktm tell us how we can deactivate the abs from the front wheel ,or should we search on black market for instructions?
Ride in mode 2 then you have supermoto abs which means front ABS only when you absolutely need it. Can do stoppies with it on. What else would you need?

can you just please make the unicorn bike we all want? a 390 smc or a enduro? honda wont make us a dual sport with more power so please come to the rescue ktm.
a 390 smc or enduro will not be lighter than the 690.
take a 690, it is more expensive, but much more fun and versatile

Every biker should have one of these in his arsenal of bikes they are a hoot, I get mine from the garage on a regular basis over much more exotic bikes I have at my disposal can’t bull these up enough, mind you the dealers are a bit lacking they don’t like to help much if you have a problem which you will, but get one there great fun.

@@4sstylz it is the spring 60034023200 coming from the RFR450 2014-2017.
it's a bit tense to change it without removing the clutch housing.
it must be mounted in pressure, and be very careful not to screw the thread of the screw, the housing is made of aluminum

I really want to cry.. bike is going really bad. Engine is very low in acceleration.

Do not buy, I have the 2022 model with 3000 km on the clock, the shifter works very very badly, they call its shifter Pro, there is nothing Pro about it, for the Ready to race it's the same, the shifts badly, or jumps or it goes into neutral in 2,3,4 or 5th gear, my dealer tells me that the system is bogus, that he can't do anything about it and KTM sends me back to my dealer, since 5 years all versions have the same gearbox problem, the 2020 shifter is less subject to these problems but the dead spots are also present, shame that a brand like KTM does not even try to solve the problem, customer service non-existent! KTM is over for me!!!! Avoid this model!

A ne surtout pas acheter, j'ai le modèle 2022 avec 3000 km au compteur, le shifter marche très très mal, ils appellent sa shifter Pro, il n'a rien de Pro, pour le Ready to race c'est pareil, les vitesses passent mal, ou sautent ou elle se met au point mort en 2,3,4 ou 5eme vitesse, mon concessionnaires me dit que le système est bidon, qu'il ne peut rien y faire et KTM me renvoi vers mon concessionnaire, depuis 5 ans toutes les version ont le même problème de boite de vitesse, le shifter 2020 est moins sujet à ces problèmes mais les point mort sont bien présent aussi, honteux qu'une marque comme KTM ne cherche même pas a résoudre le problème, service client inexistant ! KTM c'est fini pour moi !!!! Evitez ce modèle !
Avez-vous essayé le ressort plus fort de PIRATE RACING ou le FACTORY PRO SHIFT KIT

Poor quality and unreliable. Then there’s @ktm warranty and poor customer services. I’ve had three KTMS never again. Brought a new Ducati.
