I love plastic back covers. It is just very easy to remove it. Not like the glass ones which you can crack them...

Has many of the design for service elements from old school Nokia's. The glue under the battery is irritating... Why? Use cutouts on your glue sheet - you get the same drop test performance and can get the battery out easier. (Did this in 2010, worked great on a display screen)
Looking at the stack up-> The phone is designed to be opened from the rear up, thinking about the BOM costs, the screen and the cover is probably a single service assembly - cheaper and easier to handle in level 1 or 2 service centres.

Yea, in general I feel it's best for the phones as far as a repair ability stand point to be designed for taking apart from the rear. Since if the screen is not damaged and other components need changing (at least from a user end point of view), it would be less risky to reach the other components from the back than to risk breaking or damaging the display/screen trying to replace other parts in the phone.

Is it necessary to disassemble the phone this way in order to change the screen glass+digitizer or is there a quicker way?
Aside from removing the top motherboard, yeah you would need to remove all the other stuff to gain access to the screen and sub board flex cables which are routed through the mid frame so you can replace it with the new screen and run those flex cables back through the mid frame and re assemble everything.

Thanks for this it helped out a lot in figuring out what to do to change the battery in my phone. a 6 minute video detailing everything I need was perfect. My battery failed and puffed up pushing the back cover mostly off so that made it a bit easier to but still way too much needs to be done to replace the battery. Other older Nokia's you just had to remove the back cover that was not glued on and remove a single screw. Still I could replace the battery on the phone without breaking anything so that was a plus

I'm not sure what type of glass it uses, but it's not gorilla glass or anything like that.

Your work is impressive. However, Nokia made a complicated design to repair. For example screen and battery are the more common replacement parts for any mobile device.
Thank you. True, but for people who say need to replace a charging port, or battery etc., prying a working screen has a high chance of damaging the screen so I always prefer to open a phone from the back. More work but less chance of damage.
Can this phone's wifi upgraded to wifi 5?

Where the small net we see above the camera is set? Someone replaced my Broken screen and broke the small net, now my phone has a hole above the screen and he said it was broken because the screen. But when I take the phone to replace it was there. 😡😡
You mean the speaker filter? You would need to find one from a different phone online to use, they aren't easily found.
