[The Lost Colony] Javier - Round 2: Lost at Sea

Round two is here, yeehaw!
This is the piece of crap that I spent an entire week so I could get in on time!
I lost inspiration at some point of this round, but I got it back!
This is pretty much the round where everything’s blue af.
(Not to self: figure out an easier way to do the coloring)
But for now, enjoy the round! Can’t wait what happens on round 3.

◾ We continue right after the last round; after the wolves escape the mysterious man reveals himself. Celia (Anya) apparently knows who he is.
◾ While Celia and Triston (Dimitri) are having their small talk, Javier hurries to check Mulan. Cornelia (Jane Darling) got really scared that she hurt herself. Luckily Mulan only hit her head and lost consciousness.
◾ Vaider (Hassan) also recolonizes Triston. Triston was Vaider's translator in the colony. Triston doesn't know what happened to the colony.
◾ Celia notices that Beatrice (Marina) and Leonora (Daria) have vanished. The group starts looking for them but can't find them.
◾ Javier checks on Mulan who only has a small headache. The group then finds a abandoned ship.
◾ The survivors decide to check the ship. Mulan and Lillie (Ariel) decide to go with Vaider, and Javier asks Zac (Sinbad) to watch after them, since he also is going with Vaider.
◾ Mulan tells Javier that her actual name is Ming, and before Javier even gets a chance to say anything, she runs after Zac, leaving Javi confused.
◾ Javier doesn't want to go inside the ship, he has a bad feeling about it. But then he sees Cornelia who's about to go in alone, and he hurries after her. He didn't want her to go in alone.
◾ They find a storage room filled with barrels, boxes and other equipment. Javier notices how the walls have scratch marks... some of them took a shape of an flower. Also there's a word "Croatoan" written... the same word in a tree they saw.
◾ Javier doesn't want to scare Cornelia with it, so he's a bit playful with her.
◾ The barrels have rotten food which makes our chef feel sick.
◾ Alex (Cinderella) comes to check on them, and Javier acts a little flustered around her, which Cornelia too notices.
◾ Suddenly Cornelia freaks out being terrified of... nothing? Alex and Javier are very confused.
◾ Cornelia takes out a knife she got from Celia and accidentally cuts Javier's hand when he's trying to take it away from her, so she wouldn't hurt herself.
◾ Javier comforts Cornelia who calmed down. She explained that she saw people hurting themselves.
◾ They leave the room, and Javier sees Ming all shaken up. Apparently she got a panic attack on another room. Javier's not happy with Zac.
◾ Suddenly Triston also freaks out from nothing. He flees from the ship and our survivors follow him.
◾ They catch up on him and Triston explains that he saw "him" leaving everyone confused and scared about what's going on.
◾ End of round.
What I want to clarify:
◾ Javier is purposely grayer than his surroundings. In some scenes a little less and in some scenes a bit more. (This doesn’t really show on the night coloring)
◾ Even though Javier has trust issues, he's still a sweet guy at heart, and can't really help that he makes friends so easily. Ming is one of the people he’s grown fond of.
◾ Javier loves kids, and really likes Cornelia.

- The night coloring is so smooth and gorgeous
- The constant use of zooms and pans throughout the scenes really helps with the flow of the vid and ties the clips together nicely
- Love how the character is revealed at 0:11 - great use of the environment
- Great wideshot at 0:15
- Lovely composition at 0:33 - the low-shot does a nice job of emphasizing Mulan’s hurt and Cornelia’s helplessness at the situation
- Ooph the cut at 0:40 - poor Ming
- Love how you transition the clips at the beat of the music - the use of the blur is such a nice way to go from clip to clip as well
- Great headswap at 1:33
- Great composition at 1:42 - especially love the tilt-focus from the background characters to the foreground characters
- Daaaaamn the wide shot at 1:59 - the way the light reveals the ship is incredibly eerie and beautiful
- Javier and Cornelia’s relationship is so sweet

I am on the edge of my seat! You NAILED the creepy/horror vibes, while letting Javier stay the sweet, sweet cinnamon roll that he is. I loved how nurturing he is towards Cornelia and seeing his friendship with Ming continue to grow.

Oh god where to start with this masterpiece!??
Alright, a huge pack of LOVE on all the tiny details! The wolf running away in the beginning, Triston holding the gun, changing characters from smiling to not smiling, the blood dripping from Mulans wound, Mulan headswaps, James most of the time being close to Celia, Javiers reflection in the glass, the yucky stuff in the barrel (saw bits of how you made that one in your livestream)
The subtitles are great too! Sometimes the were a little too fast but most of the time there was no need to pause to read.
And OH MY GOSH THE SCENE WITH THEM ALL IN FRONT OF THE SHIP IS BEAUTIFUL!

That was AMAZING!! LOVE JAVIER And wooow those scenes with Cornelia (such as the one inside the ship) ... stunning. 2.29 by the way, got me like WAIT A MOMENT... such clever combination of different Jane clips (because I think it's a combination, isn't it? from when she is trying to go back in a boat she made and pulls out her hair with a sad face speaking to Peter and another scene that I can't recognise right now) !

I know! I kept doing double-takes because of all the expressions that I KNOW happen when characters are wearing different outfits, but the headswaps are so seamless I would never have noticed otherwise.
