Man it just gave me goosebumps when this guy talked about the legendary Maruti Zen.... What a fun car to drive, especially the 2 door steel and carbon variants......
So safety isn’t a parameter to be considered at all? When you say you’d advise people to buy a Creta/Seltos earlier, you were basically promoting a 2 star GNCAP car (they BARELY managed a 3 star by a mere 0.08 points)
Cyrus mistry died in one of the safest car . Gncap is tested at 64 kmph ,most of the accidents can be avoided at that speed. Over speeding kills people, no rating will save at higher speed. (80 % of taxi is maruti in India, have you seen a yellow board maruti in accident? Very less but you can see tata and mahindra cars in most of the accidents). People should promote good driving skills and to drive in speed limit.
@@Dsvkd It means U sud drive Maruti...lol
@@Dsvkd No one is discounting sensible driving habits and no 5 star rated car will keep you safe at idiotic speeds (the Cyrus Mistry and the recent BMW crash in the Purvanchal Expressway are cases in point). But ignoring safety ratings is also an equal folly - they are there for a reason
@@soumyaranjan5400 Not rich enough to buy a car (right now), if I get a car in future, gncap rating won't be the top criteria.
@@niluhazarika I understand but current testing parameters are not enough. This is same has increasing number of airbags (carens 3*). It doesn't make difference. Testing should include, high speed breaking, moose test and esp too. Utill then ,it's just a marketing gimmick
What a mind-blowing presentation. It felt like watching a suspense movie. I own a Kushaq and have previously owned Marutis. Indeed the European cars are just too much fun to drive. Every time I drive my Kushaq, it seems like an occasion for me. On highways I am getting a mileage in the range of 16-20 ❤️
What will be your average speed in higways
That transition at 7:26 though 🔥
That feeling of driving taigun is awesome, no car in this segment can match it. And recent gncap rating added more confident. From owner of taigun. 👍👍

Drove the Grand Vitara full hybrid and i was amazed by the way the car handles. I got in the car with the underpowered image of the bhp numbers but overall the way the hybrid engines delivers power was quite interesting. I have driven the kushaq 1.5 as well and is defenitely the benchmark in terms of driving dynamics. Honestly confused between choosing the best as personally I like the way Grand Vitara looks too.
Kushaq and Taigun will remain a driver's car. It has the best engine and transmission setup in the class. I own a kushaq. I didn't think much. The fun of driving a turbo will not fade
@@abhimanyudhananjayan1516try strong hybrid once automatic. It has really quick 70-80
Nice fun car
I still don't understand why people are attracted to Creta and Seltos, despite having poor build quality and safety... Koreans only offer gimmicks and nothing else... Dynamics aren't even the best... Whereas a gem like Taigun doesn't sell as well as Creta, despite having solid build quality, safety and driving dynamics, though it doesn't have fancy features like Koreans... Only drawback is that it's best for 4...
I own a Taigun GT+, so I am speaking from the opposite camp. The creta and seltos are competent cars, they can comfortably seat 5, have upmarket interiors, they are good city runabouts and have decent highway performance. They offer more features than the competition and have a good road presence. They are reliable enough and servicing them isn't a hassle. For a person investing 20+ lakhs into a depreciating asset, the car has to check a lot of boxes. The creta and the seltos both do that. I am not surprised why they both lead the segment. The Taigun/Kushaq have an uphill battle with only 2 strong points (Performance/Safety). They can't compete with the creta and seltos's long list of advantages :-). I am happy with my purchase though. Taigun now has something that it dint have before. "Exclusivity".
@@tanu300 Yes, but you don't like owning Taigun?
@@ducatimultistradav4850 Oh, I love my Taigun. I wouldnt have bought any other crossover. I just plain hate the looks of the Creta. Exterior design is confused and the interior design is uninspired. Yes there are issues with the Taigun, the interiors are very basic, and the switchgear is crap. But Oh boy, the engine/gearbox are sublime. Taigun's design language is very good as well. It looks like a fast/expensive car and It is a fast/expensive car. It matches the "Show" with the "Go". My only complaint is it doesnt "Feel" like an expensive car. I plan to remedy that by getting some high end leather fittings.
To answer you question. I love my Taigun and wouldnt have bought any other crossover in the same price range.
@@tanu300 Yea.. Taigun and Kushaq are not for people who want gimmicks or luxury... Just the car's engine power, performance, ride and handling.. It's for the one who gives priority to driving fun... Others can go for tin cans...
There are multiple factors that's comes into play when one is looking to buy car.
For me top priorities were Safety and Service network (after sales service).
I was confused between Kushaq and Grand Vitara. Kushaq is love but Grand Vitara feels like a practical decision (at least for me). With Grand Vitara I get safety (built on global c platform) and a wide easily accessible service network.
If GV was not launching, I would definitely have bought Kushaq. Grand Vitara feels like a no-nonsense car, is reliable and fits perfect for me as I am planning to keep it for 10 years.
Hats off to the editing team of this video ❤
Brilliant production guys! With that soundtrack choice. Ugh. Damn good.
Lovely Seiko and great point on it not being considered an enthusiast's car but the enthusiast wanting one. In the same dilemna
Cool video editing... nice review. Hyryder is good for Bangalore traffic and power is not needed in India for a family car.
The Critera / the Reason of buying Hybrid is Fuel Economy, what would u do with performance on daily basis
Mental peace with VW German engineering! Not in India at least.
AC cannot cope up or simply gives up, Engine EPC issue crops up at any time , small niggles here and there and so on. Not exactly peace of mind.
And what does an enthusiast mean in India?
Some one who weaves in and out of traffic, lanes and overtakes without planning because power and acceleration is available.
When there are legal speed limits, what does the reviewer mean pushing above triple digit speeds.
Exactly I will any day prefer relaibility over performance
Bro epc issue and ac issues have been resolved. Maruti cars also initially had problems baleno has airbag issues, scross had brake issue , xl6 had issues regarding the rear axel this issues were rectified by calling recall. Every car had problem initially you can't judge the reliability of the car by that
Turbo engine doesn't always mean getting up to triple digit speeds, it's about fun and enjoyment and also doing quick overtakes. Alas, I cannot explain about driving to an 8 year old who doesn't have a driving license. When you get one, you will understand why people love the Turbo Petrol engines. Peace!!✌
@@sarangsp1591 No need to explain!
Had enough of the turbo-lag and its attendant irritation in city driving. Not to mention the excessive fuel consumption to boot.
And the road maniacs who choose to dart in and out of any conceivable space they perceive on the road just to get ahead. What you refer as quick overtakes and maybe fun for you!
Roads are public spaces used by other vehicles, pedestrians and the people at large.
They are not spectators to gawk at you while you have fun and enjoyment in public spaces
Go to a race track or a closed road for that.
@@tingalkalamanwlwkwkwk5390 What kind of engineering and brand is VW that asks its people to spend more time in the workshops than in actual use of them.
All vehicles have issues. Recalls are part of QC. But statistically, the Japanese brands report much lesser of such issues than others. That is why they have such tremendous trust among Indian consumers.
But in the case of VW, it is simply lack of caring or not wishing to spend on testing and ensuring products work under Indian conditions.
In fact initially they tried to simply dismiss the issue and blame the customers driving habit .
How can an AC or EPC not work across a large section of VW products and Skoda too which is a twin of VW.
this is what i was expecting from your content there is no one lyk you how does such good car comparison on yt
you'all got a great editing team
Hey @PowerDrift, Whomever is doing the sound design works at your studio - Huge Shoutout !
I've driven a VW polo, a maruti Swift, Hyundai i20 and a 2007 maruti 800. While it was the slowest, the most rigid and the cheapest, on some roads driving the Maruti 800 was pure joy that no other car was able to match. In the end, when choosing a vehicle, always consider how it makes you feel.
The video editing is superb... And the Host too..... Never seen such a review as if watching a movie of some sort.. loved the video... ❤️

This video is made with so much passion. Taigun gets all the power and vitara has more bells and whistles.
Taigun is on a whole different level when it comes to driving dynamics ! Grand Vitara is no match for the German engineering and build quality the Taigun possesses
Couldn't agree more! Proud and happy Taigun owner ❤️

Lol in the video he said grand vitara hai better dynamics than taigun

The way he presents feels and sound very similar to the old Top Gear ⚙️ days with the trio
The recent GNCAP scores will definitely re-create the hype for VW/Skoda twins. 👏🏽
I was a proud owner of an SCross 1.6 till yesterday. Still trying to find a perfect replacement. Have shortlisted the Gurkha , will TD the Taigun and see.
S cross is the only maruti car i can respect. Unfortunately they did not sell well and never bothered to bring it back. S cross was a beast
A comparison I was looking for. Both the cars are different than the rest in the segment in their own unique ways. Loved your Vanilla vs Banana Split example.
Thanks for the advice 🎉
So many options but still can't find a worthy replacement for my age old Skoda Yeti 4x4, it's just that good.
Rather give it a stage 1 tune
Only kodiaq
Slavia 1.5 tsi chalao
Everything agreed but Vw performance and built just on another level. Creta/ Seltos are compromised in terms of safety both active and passive .
Cyrus actually pointed out that apart from the unenthusiastic engine, everything else is better on the Grand Vitara which is a big big statement that too coming out of his holy mouth
As a reviewer, can you give scores in each metrics and generate an overall score like safety metrics will have higher number of points followed by reliability, mileage, power and performance, features .... So on....
Japanese ideology about cars is mostly about ferrying people from point A to point B. Hence, when it comes to making cars, they'll focus mostly on fuel economy as the entire Japan as a nation has always been concerned about energy crisis. So, they make sensible cars for the entire globe. Though there have been legendary exceptions like Supra, GTR Godzilla, Civic Type R, Lancer Evo, Acura NSX and LFA.
Switching focus to Deutschland and they have the concept of Autobahn with no speed limits. Till date the Germans are known for their performance-oriented cars where fuel economy numbers are not much of a concern.
Hence the difference is obvious. A case of power & fun to drive youngster package vs a sensible uncle friendly package 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So therefore europe has very high carbon emissions per capita
Drag race needed between: brezza manual vs GV strong hybrid Vs 1.0 kushaq, and all other combinations if possible
What is the shoot location? That hill and the lake? So beautiful.
BGM used one of the greatest factor in PD vids which is missing now a days 😌
There is no comparing the Taigun to vitara. The taigun was just fabulous. Droves these cars back to back and I fell in love with the taigun so much that we instantly booked the car! I can’t wait for mine to land later this month!

Didn’t expect this from channel as you know they are lot of auto fans. Recommend some German makes not Korean and Japanese. Only features are not mandatory plz always focus on built quality as well which is very much needed for Indian roads.
Considering a hybrid, the legendary Grand Vitara is the best product in the segment. Feels truly premium. I love the way the door trim is almost covered in soft touch leatherette material. Fantastic driving position and is overall comfortable. Ride and handling including the steering feel is excellent for the segment. Due to rugged underpinnings, its chassis is tougher (true to it's lineage) than the others. Global-C platform ensures 4 star rating or above. Smooth driving experience with 3 point seatbelt and headrest for all seats. Has a large, slick, hi-res touchscreen with a good 6 speaker sound system for the segment.
Video edits are on another level!🔥
*Correction at 8:56 - Taigun GT+ doesn't have cooled seats.

"You dont need an occasion to drive the Taigun, every time you drive the Taigun, it is an occasion :-D " - perfectly sums up my experience with the Taigun GT+, which I happen to own.

If only Maruti did the same thing what Honda is doing with their Hybrid engines. Honda uses Engine to power the motors for low end performance while Maruti does the opposite by using Motor to save the engine power .
Which place is that in the bg? Its Beautiful.
the grand vitara also has awd takes fun beyond roads.
Old vitara was gold with 170hp
Well then wat about the allgrip model with an engine remap?
That engine has not a lot to give even with a remap. Remember, it’s an NA engine. Remaps don’t do much on an NA engine.

When I saw grand vitara on road, I felt like typical pahad car. Taigun is shaped well according to height.

The power in your presentation more than 1000hp sir... I think the collar mic needs to improve. Volume is low. .keep going sir
Simple maths says buy a 4 cylinder natural aspirated mild variant of vitara rather would cost 14lac on road than going for a 3 cylinder turbo costs 15.5 on road, whatever VW and skoda have to say at the end of the day it's a 3 cylinder compressed engine which has to Handel a turbo charger the pressure will kill it before time does and the 1.5 lt is way too much expensive.
