Really like the vibe and energy of this guy. Guess it's just Canadians and being so friendly. He Seems to love the hobby and you can tell hes willing to listen to learn.

My son and I made the two hour trip to see your presentation in Windsor and Windsor Aquarium Society are a great group. We enjoyed ourselves and it was a pleasure meeting LRB and everyone else .

About 4 years ago when I first got back into the hobby, I discovered the Windsor Aquarium Society's forum and asked for a bit of established filter media to help get me on my way. Fresh out of the hospital from suffering palythoa toxica, Gabe stepped up, invited me over, and set me up with everything I needed to get myself going. He invited me in to see his fish room and my jaw dropped. I had never seen such a gorgeous setup, nor have I since.
It was great to have you in Windsor Lucas, I wish I could have hung out a bit more than I was able to, but I had to pack up for my overseas trip. Maybe we'll have the honor of hosting you again in the future!

Awesome fish room tour. One of the few tour videos that I watched all the way through. Every tank he had actually looked pleasing, unlike other fish room tour videos that are just bare bottom tanks or just a piece of wood.
That room is insane..now thats what you call a true fish keeper!

Beautiful fish room. I love the cabinetry. Nice art. Love the goldfish tank. I have an overstocked 75 gallon also. I'm doing the same thing - lots of filtration and extra water changes.
Always amazed that people have a fish room and no 125g . LRB always has best tour videos.
Personally id never get a 125 because im not into big fish, cichlid only tanks are kinda boring and i cant use them as ‘centerpiece’ fish because theyll eat any schooling fish. The only reason id maybe consider a big tank is to have a huge school of rummynose or something

The Rock pile idea is Genius. I have a 10 gallon on my desk. It has Cory cats, a few regular River catfish (still like 2" or less) and 1 very social Oscar (Hence on my desk) they have laid eggs 2 times in about a week and the catfish have turned it in to a buffet.
When I do a water change today I will ad a bunch of rocks we picked up in a corner and see how they like that next.

Corydoras pygmaeus like heavily planted tanks... They also spawn when the barometric pressure is high and will need a good 25% water change right before a storm hits your area... Mine breed almost every 2-3 weeks when a thunderstorm hits us

I find the best trap is a tall glass vase or jug placed in the tank with there favorite food in it. Must cup hand on top quickly as lifting. Always works for me.

I've got one-goldfish I've had him 13 years lol I put a big bobber in his tank he messes with it alot it makes a rattle noise there's little ledweights inside for nitefishing and lites up also he loves it lol

At 6:32 you suggested he use a minnow trap to catch those chain loaches without tearing down the tank. but that idea didnt sink into his head. it might be worth it to remind him and clarify that point. would be significantly easier for him to catch them in a trap than to tear up the tank trying to net them.
I am more of a metal rack, minimal stand look myself but, that is a sexy fish room
