关于音乐会 About the Concert
苏州民族管弦乐团2019-2020音乐季闭幕音乐会--「苏州好风光」将于8月15日周六7:30pm在苏州民族管弦乐团音乐厅隆重上演。作为整个音乐季第十一套大型主题演出，音乐会上除了《茉莉花》与《抒情变奏曲》这两首乐团保留曲目以外，由作曲家刘长远根据苏州民歌新编的《苏州好风光》将特邀青年女高音歌唱家许忆雯与乐团合作表演；另一位特邀而来的著名琵琶演奏家赵聪带来了自己创作并独奏的琵琶协奏曲《福吉天长》，表达了对伟大祖国的美好祝福；特别推荐的是由郭文景、李滨扬分别创作的中国管弦乐《桃花庵》《吴越春秋》，这两首乐团新委约作品都为世界首演，两首作品分别表现了两位作曲家各自心目中富有独特魅力的一段苏州人文历史故事。音乐会由著名指挥家、乐团艺术总监兼首席指挥彭家鹏执棒，借助交响化、国际化的表达方式，真实、生动、鲜活地讲述咱们中国的故事。
Suzhou Chinese Orchestra 2019-2020 Music Season Closing Concert - “Beautiful Scenes of Suzhou” will be held on 15th of August (Sat) at 7:30pm at SUCO Concert Hall. As the 11th set of music theme concert, beside the two repertoires “Jasmine Flower” and “Lyrical Variations”, “Beautiful Scenes of Suzhou” composed by Mr. Liu Changyuan will be jointly performed with guest soprano Xu Yiwen. Guest pipa soloist Zhao Cong will bring her own composition “Eternal Auspice” to express the best wishes to the great motherland. The featured world premiere works in the concert are “Peach Blossom Cottage” and “Spring and Autumn Annals of Wu and Yue” by Guo Wenjing and Li Binyang respectively. These two compositions narrate the stories of Suzhou from each composer’s perspective. The concert will be conducted by renowned conductor, SUCO artistic director and chief conductor Mr. Pang Kapang. Under his baton, the symphonic Chinese orchestra will present China’s stories with full of life and energy.

I am not a musician but I deeply enjoy music of all types, especially when it requires multiple instruments and a talented group (orchestra, if you will) to play it. East, West, North, or South makes no difference. A truly gifted musician is appreciated regardless of where they are from.
