You bring In sparring partners like a tradesman brings in new tools, its to sharpen your skills and progress your "trade". Your trying new things, no pressure for the spar partners, and often doing 4 rounds with one fighter, 2 rounds with another, then 3 with another, to mimic your real opponent. Your trying to learn money skills to beat your opponent
The sparring story: Dubois was invited up to Sheffield team GB camp for a while for sparring, back when he was around 16. Even shared a flat with AJ. Dubois is known to have seriously dropped AJ several times. Rob Mcracken then started putting out rumours to the industry that it was actually Fraizer Clarke who dropped AJ not a 16yo unknown kid not signed to anyone aka Dubois. Dubois's dad however let people know what happened & over the years people who watched the sparring have always hinted that it was more than true...at this point no one denies it. That's the story without making stuff up or going into more murky areas. Sure you shouldn't discuss sparring...but over time it's fair game imo...not that it matters too much in the pro game. But boxing is a entertainment promotion game...narratives sell.

Cmon Umar do your job, you didn't mention that the IBF have put out a statement yesterday saying no one has contacted the IBF requesting them to sanction Joshua Vs Dubois for the IBF title, so that CLEARlY shows that Joshua never had any intention of fighting Dubois, but yet Eddie Hearn keeps saying "we will fight Dubois IF the IBF title is on the line, if it's not on the line then it will probably be someone else", but yet we know now from the IBF Statement that Eddie has not even contacted the IBF and requested them to sanction the fight and put the IBF title on the line against Dubois, so its clearly not going to be Dubois and it never was going to be Dubois, how can Joshua only fight Dubois for the IBF if Eddie hasn't even contacted them to sanction the fight for IBF? it makes no sense? it's clearly just spin, Joshua said himself that he is in final negotiations with his opponent, so It can't be Dubois, because Eddie has clearly said it will only be Dubois IF the IBF is on the line, (which we now know it's not going to be on the line because they never even requested it to be), So its the same spin and bs from Eddie as usual, why does Dubois have to have a title for Joshua to fight him? but Joshua is fine in fighting Parker, Kabayel, Zhang without a belt, it's a complete duck, Dubois is the biggest and best fight for Wembley, Joshua obviously wants another easy fight, that will be 5 in a row now, complete let down for the fans.
