Labrynth was a deck that caught my interest, but I never really invested in getting the cards. So it's cool to see how they would do in the 2nd most recent format.

You always activate Pot of Extravagance before Prosperity and you want to run both in Labrynth. Pot of Extravagance only locks you out of drawing cards if the effect resolves so you can still use prosperity if it gets ashed.

"I don't want to play floodgates" - plays viruses which are definitely floodgates 😅
Floodgates are cards that prevent you from playing. Viruses destroy the cards on your hand and field.
Both can feel unfair, but I wouldn't call Evenly Matched, Raigeki, Royal Tribute, or any hand destruction cards "Floodgates", because they don't stop you from doing anything, they just get rid of most of your resources so you often can't do anything.
My main deck in the TCG is Labrynth. I have two Ladies and one Lovely as my boss monsters, but I also have two Archfiends given how surprisingly versatile they are. I once got my Archfiend to 5200, stronger than any other monster my opponent had, and I was making him sweat bullets as he desperately looked for the out because Archfiend was also protecting my Maids. If only Archfiend had spell/trap protection like Lady does. He'd be the most broken card in the deck.

You'd play Red-Eyes Fusion for Dragoon?
What do you think about a Branded engine (Branded Fusion, Albaz, and either the Light or the Dark Hex-Sealed Fusion, depending on whether you want to go into Albion or Lubellion with Branded Fusion; I'd opt for Albion since he can attack that turn, doesn't require a discard, and doesn't undo the deck thinning you did with Branded Fusion)?
The extra step makes the combo a bit more interruptible but it has some benefits:
Branded Fusion can send from the hand and the field as well as the deck, so the engine pieces are only soft garnets (aside from generally being more useful than Level 7 Normal monsters).
It only restricts your Extra deck plays to Fusion summons for the turn, instead of restricting you to Normal setting.
If you are so inclined, it gives you a bit more options than „just“ Dragoon. You can use the same combo to bring out Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon instead of Dragoon, a 3400 ATK omni-attacker that is immune to trap effects and recycles trap cards.
You are also getting not one but two monsters out of this. Granted, you cannot use them for Link or Xyz summons that turn at worst Albion is a 2500 ATK beater.

I’m not done with the video yet, and I’m not trying to say I’m the longest time Labrynth player, but, the intro deck you showed off just put a silly smile on my face because it looks almost identical to the deck I first ran with Lab, and as such got me into **playing** yugioh seriously not just spectating it… or playing ancient gears. I see in this video that proclaiming ghost ogre as best handtrap for years of my own volition has led people to use it in bad ways on md.
The plan worked boys,now to say the best handtrap is Droll and lock bird for 5 years.
Haven't finished the video yet but God I feel like I need to watch some of your games. I can imagine quite a few were decided between a bad hand and your opponent getting all their removal at once before you could resolve erradicator, but I want so see what kind of thought goes into the hands where you can do stuff before getting cards wiped and how much or in which ways you can play through those. Some of those first games before the floodgates came in and after putting in Strike feel like the style of deck I'd love to play Labrynth as.

Hey, honestly labyrinth is the secret counter to spright, and runick for that matter. Kinda disliked them at first but I’ve gotten used to playing against them respect for another great vid.

you definitely can get to diamond 1 the problem is just that everyone is playing feather duster in a format where non of the meta decks sets spell trap. i also tried some 60 card lybrynth abomination with the dinomorphia fusion trap to have a traptrickable skill drain that beats your opponent to detah and it work in diamond 1 not like that saying much
People don't want to lose to boring floodgate turbo decks, like say labyrnth.

Maybe you could show your current Rank instead of the Day counter, or maybe in the middle of Day and Gem counter, you could fit a D5 for diamond 5 or whatever rank you are at during the time of the duel you are on. It is just an idea.
You can replace the days counter with the hours counter Perhaps this could be more accurate
