Carbon Fiber wings would add about $500 USD to the cost of this machine. Front fender and rear tire hugger in CF would add over $1000 USD.
The price of the bike would push it out of the limit/value of the average retail buyer.

I love the Ducati bikes - power, style, performance but like you, wasn't into red bikes. I knew I wanted a superbike and was looking at an Aprilia, but the ergos wasn't great for my 6'0" frame and my position around the tank.
When they started taking pre-orders for the SP back in November last year, I fell in love and made it my mission to put down a deposit.
I picked up #105 at the end of May 2021 and have loved every minute. Congrats on your purchase, you can always buy the matte black fairings if you are not a fan of red. BST carbon wheels and a termi D184 slip on, and you have an incredible machine.

you bought one because you understand you need one . i got one from 2019 and sadly crashed it last month ( got a vid bout it ) but its being rebuild now . enkoy it because its a very very good bike , i trashed the sheit out of it for 12k km's now and nothing broke down so far , they realy got the reliability they never get credit for . o and the side stand you get used to , i remember thinkin the same when i picked it up . just always warm the engine proper before you rev and do the ordered maintenance !

I'm also a V2 owner. Chose the V2 because *for me*, off the track the V2 wins on the price/fun equation. Especially with the Akra exhaust on it ;) They're both amazing bikes of course! I bought the standard V4. another $6K USD would've put the bike out of my price range. We have the same engine tho...and it's GLORIOUS! Since you guys are approaching spring/summer, and you're on lock down. I'd advise installing a throttle spacer, and the heat shielding under the seat and subframe. Bike will still feel hot in traffic and at lights, but will be much more tolerable. Both are considerable improvements.

It's not a night and day difference though...it's more like an "afternoon" difference (Still hot...but not goddamn hot) but as I mentioned, It makes the heat more tolerable.
