Agreed, the average life span of a house rabbit (which is the ONLY place they should be!) is 10-12 yrs.
Also, since they're considered (medically) to be "exotics" you need to find specific vets that will see them & provide a very specific diet.
But as a devoted slave of 2+ decades to my furry little overlords, I can say is their company is completely worth it

Can bunnies get/have epilepsy? That's what his spacing-out sounds like.
Idk about epilepsy but my bunny had seizures & the vet wanted to put him down because he was almost 14 & the seizure meds weren’t working. I brought him to a holistic vet. One round of injectable acupuncture & his seizures diminished they completely stopped after the second. By the fourth or fifth he completely regained all his neurological function & even proper movement of his back legs & could hop around like a baby again.
Not all seizures are the theatric, grand mal kind, some you literally just freeze up for a bit

The phantom chewing he's doing is grinding down his teeth to try to reshape his molars. Their front teeth grinding is very noisy.

Completely agree as long as they are taught how to look after them properly and treat them with respect and compassion. (However, no offence to anyone but in my opinion, rabbits are possibly not the best animals for really young children to be around though as their screams could easily frighten them, unless the children can stop themselves from doing that)

I was walking my dogs late late at night last summer and came across a carrier on the street side off the sidewalk. Turned my flashlight to the opening and two bunnies were in there, a black and a spotted one. I went home about a block away, talked with my spouse and decided to bring them home. My wife took them to the no kill animal shelter that next morning. They were adopted soon after. What if the wrong person came by that night. Glad I found them.

Some "people" are so cruel such as the lowlife/lowlives who did that to Copper at the beginning 😿💔😾😡! Rabbits are one of my favourite animals and do need very specific/special care (in my opinion, not very much different to the care a horse needs) which, sadly, not a lot of people realise until they have already got a rabbit (or 2).

I have rescued five bunnies from people next-door who was breeding them to make money. Well they ended up at my house five of them two lion heads and two Rex and then I rescued one from some people that just opened a cage and said I’m moving and you’re not and my daughter got that bunny over here but the two Lionhead, their wives are bigger than them were one lion head has two wives But they are so sweet to watch them just cuddle together and beat each other and just warms your heart ❤❤❤❤

I have two bunnies but they’re not friends. But they act just like these babies and we adore them! We also have 2 large dogs who are best friends with them and one of the bunnies is acting more like a dog than a bunny. 😊
Awe, that’s true love! My daughter wanted a first pet, originally rabbits, but my parents are allergic. We settled on Guinea pigs.
She has a med, med length hair tri colour, mine Rat Pea is super tiny and very fluffy. Hers lets mine think he’s the boss mostly. The lovely relationship they have, cuddling and grooming daily is truly magical to see.
They are ridiculously cute, we love and adore them!

I wish there was a way to contact the woman on the video. I wonder if what I did for my bun would help hers. My bunny had seizures & weird neurological issues; the vet wanted to put him down because he was almost 14 & the seizure meds weren’t working. I refused because he was basically my service animal & soul bunny, he had saved my life a few times so I was going to fight for his! I did research & found a holistic vet willing to try some alternative therapies. One round of acupuncture & his seizures diminished they completely stopped after the second, at this one we started the injections, first B12 shots in acupuncture points, then a natural Anti-Inflammatory. By the fourth or fifth he completely regained normal neurological function, could give me kisses again, lost his head tilt & even regained proper movement of his back legs & could hop around like a baby bunny again. He was a little miracle bun 🐰💕

as a bunny parent, the attack with the shower curtain is hilarious. I have this floofster of a boy that does this to any closed door. He also has a weird licking fetish to the back of my calves, if I have jeans or trousers on that aren't shorts or three quarters he digs at them and bites them so I have to roll the leg up so he can lick. same with my elbows, I have a dermatitis situation on my elbow middle arms, so at night I lie on the floor and just let him lick my elbow. So weird, cute but weird.

I bet that zoning out is a mild seizure, my son started that zoning out period then a few years later he started having seizures. Its not linked but he hasnt had any other problems besides that!
