    The Chandigarh lobby will ensure that all orders are given to foreign companies. They need "chamdi" and "damdi" afterall

    I have been watching the SSS defence's development of indigenous weapons very closely and they are really really good....I hope our Government recognizes their potential.

    Defense Private companies need at least some respectable orders to survive... They are putting their passion, blood, sweat least to mention money in R&D, they certainly deserve this as a sign of respect. A country can only grow, if it supports it's own industry. In the long term this pays off. It not only boosts the local economy (SME) but also increases our GDP as we begin to export more...

    • @kitty_cat_24
      @kitty_cat_24 Před měsícem

      Our private companies will surely survive. If we don't buy their weapons, they'll be sold to foreign countries that value their efforts and hard work. The ones to be doomed are the Indian army. If army doesn't buy Indian weapons, they'll be the loosers who buy low standard foreign weapons instead of locally designed and produced weapons which aligns with the interests of Indian army. Our private firms have the whole world to export weapons to.

      Our army still suffers from colonial mindset. They think all western made weapons are top class while all Indian made weapons are junk.

    IA will never place and order while foreign nations already came, tested the weapon and placed order and left. Such a sad state of affairs of Indian defense production. This is the first time i heard IA visiting SSS defense who have been producing snipers for long time, this is after many jawans lost their life on LOC due to sniping incidents 6-7 years back which led India to procure USA and Finland snipers.

    AWEIL has new 8.6mm and 12.7mm sniper rifles.
    But lndian army and BSF did not order single sinper rifle from AWEIL or SSS defence company.
    Now,they are importing foreign made sniper rifles.
    And lndia will buy more imported sniper rifles for border security.

    Good development. It will go through a lot of testing before army takes it and the company should be ready with its own ammo for these tests, not trusting OFB/DRDO. Hope they also develop a heaver round for more damage. I have always wondered why we don't make our own heavy machine guns like the Browning .50 M2 or the DShK 12.7.
