One of my all time favorite Christmas presents. Later that year a new kid moved next door and his uncle (who was only a couple years older than us) had the Avenger.
I imagine they're just plain old filament bulbs from that era! I can't say I've ever tried to swap them out but they're probably the same as a Starbird's.

just dug my intruder out, my led lasers have stopped working, any idea who repairs them? :)
