And this is even before PLA got mainstream use in 3D printers...
And 5 years later even kids like me can get their hands on a 3d printer to print PLA
This was 8 years ago if it was announced to the whole world we would have had pla over plastic
and we are already looking at alternatives to PLA such as PHA which is actually biodegradable without needing the industrial decomposer.

How is the pellets itself made? what's the process from corn to the grannular pellets? Everything else is just reshaping the already finished product.
