It make's me regret that I've never played piano.
Bro i feel you i quit piano after a year because i realised i dont have any talents in piano while my sister have a bit of talent she can memorize a song a bit by hearing it but she doents know how to read notes
This anime made me regret quitting because who knew what anime songs i could have played in the future
Never too late
I want to like but then the count would be at 69
@@anicecream3028 y did ya give up man hard work beats talent. YA JUST NEED LOTS OF PRACTICE. I started playing the piano at 6 years old. a few years passed but I still couldn't play a simple thing. I didn't even know how to read anything I would just bang my hands on the piano and my teacher would get angry and id hide under the piano and sulk. I had no talent but then I just continued and started practicing hard like 3 hours a day. Im currently nearly grade 8
and I can't even read notes
Bro same
Favorite performance of the whole anime, idk why
Ik why, this song was made full of feeling, envy and rage, but it was also made with some love and appreciation. (And the song is really good)
Same for me and that's because it's just gorgeous xD
agree
@@davidm8878 when i heard it i was just in awe it was amazing
Yes me too, I will play it one day I swear

"Go home, Chopin, you're drunk," said every classical pianist attempting any of his music ever.
you clearly haven’t heard Liszt 8)
@@IdyllicLPS1163671 chopin isnt technically the hardest but musically chopins pieces are the hardest and list pieces donot even sound that good
Name: Chopin Etude opus 25 no. 11 "Winter wind"
it's in the description....
+pow3rstrik3 its for people who doesn't read the description....
trash god Well i could copy paste the entire description in the comments just for those who don't read the description. But that is kind of pointless. Just don't be lazy and read the description
pow3rstrik3 yeah sure, you could do that.
I assume it wasn't originally put into the description, there are multiple comments saying OP should specify the name of the song.
Emi is one of my favorite characters.
akane-chan she IS my favourite character

HIBIKE , HIBIKE , HHHHIIIBIKEEEEE!!!!!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Fun fact:
The Japanese word Hibike is a command. It means "resound", as if telling something or someone to resonate. This is both in the literal sense and metaphorical sense. It commands for something or someone to make literal sound, and can also be understood as a command to "have an effect" or "to impact".
Which makes the line "Did it reach them?" so much more impactful.
I think Shigatsu is the first thing to show me how piano can outright sparkle. Not just be pleasant or interesting, but decisively sparkle. I don't know whether its the music chosen, how they were played, or the associations with the series, but never have I heard the piano feel this alive, and be so colorful and personable. Everything else I've heard sounds dusty and flat in comparison
+Entraya Korsbakke You said it all...
+Entraya Korsbakke I felt exactly the same when watching the anime. And because of that I started playing piano!
+Tatsuni The Lenny King Well good luck on that rough path, i can tell how hard it is
that's true... Because of your lie in april, I'm willing to get better and better at piano... It's inspired me to no end.
+Cookie Monster same
At my school, most students play the piano. I'm one of those students too. However, we took it for granted, and after I watched Shigatsu wa kimi no uso, i regreted not practicing and skipping lessons. i felt so stupid for doing so. From now on i promise i will not take my instrument for granted
sigh at least u realized how amazing piano can be before u quit T_T
i quit piano cuz i didnt like my teacher (she was mean and made me cry a lot) but i watched Your Lie in April and I regret quitting so much ((TOT))
otaku._.4ever theres never too late
Song Q same with me
Omg same I played the violin and the piano before quitting both of them. Now i regret it TT but I'm starting to pick it up after watching this anime.
Omg feel how lucky you are I play the piano and it's my passion but my school has prevented that subject in order to have more time to "add" into our brain more math and physic and chemistry :( I'm suffering with it
This was my favorite scene from the show

A Polish composer. :D
Do you know who is the interpreter?
I believe Tomoki Sakata was the performer here and for most of the solo piano performances in the show. He has really great interpretations of the pieces

This song describes me and I'm hurt or angry. I start at calm and keep it all inside and then I let it ring out and burst into flame. Emi really speaks to me when I hear this. when and watch the anime she plays it with such passion I can feel it. All the pain and anger I can understand and relate.
i think its more chopin than emi who deserves the credits on this one bruh XD
I can feel the wind piercing my body.
I like how the creators actually put specific piano songs towards the two competitors before Arima played that really shows how inspired and jealous and angry they are
@Savvy Paige me too...Even I listen to this when I'm hurt/sad/angry/stressed
Chopin is absolutely Magnificent 😌🫂❤️🎹
You play this in the school and your friend will be like
"OMG this guy is a fking god"
I played this in a school music competition and I won
What a nice pretty song. 0:24 wHAT THE FRACKITY DOODLES
ikr
Emmy K
That's the best part.
Best why to explain this song
It’s a PIECE!!
Jk it’s ok👌
The begginning does seem to be a typical Chopin piece. I don't know Chopin's music so well be the sad tune before 0:24 reminds me of the Funeral March.
Does anyone relate to this:
You play a classic piece and people are awed then they say something like"hey, do you know roses? " " you know cheerleader? ""do you know how to play secret love song? "
then when you say no, they just push you away from the piano and lets someone play the piano with a pop song . Later, I told someone about it and they said, "Why don't you try learning a modern piece so that you will have more audience.
You tell them that you don't need the audience and you only play because you want to
yes i know exactly what you mean!
Yeah I get that always.... They cant judge me if I am a classical person! In the near future I will get vengeance and show them the power of classical music.
+Jas_Forever you go man!! we'll be supporting you!!
I personally prefer classical pieces. I think it's because they're actually meant to be played on an instrument, may it be a piano or a violin.
Pop songs nowadays are meant to be sing. Not to be played on an instrument. That wasn't the song writer's intention.
Anime songs are fun to play on the piano too... Or it could just be that I'm a weeb
sup man? THIS HAPPENS TO ME EVERYTIME
This song truely reminds of the mixtures of winter and fall. The ending of fall has concluded its warmth and now enters the cold, bitterness of the dreadful yet beautiful winter and how powerful it is! This piece by chopin is what I think the best he's done!
LITTLE PISTOL I like to think that while Chopin was composing this, he got bored and thought, hey, why don't we use EVERY KEY ON THE PIANO
it's brutal. i can only imagine what audiences at the time felt upon listening
STORY!
My orchestra teacher gave us the last 5 min. of school to do whatever we wanted, and one girl decided to play an unconstant tempo and I politely/quietly told her she was off timing, and she sassilly said, "Why don't you try playing the piano!" luckily I was almost ready to perfect this beautiful piece and played it with no off timings,
everyones mouth dropped. I walked away smoothly, as if I just planted the bomb, that was my piano playing.
Moral of the story: Thank you anime.
*Drops the mic*
take me to your leader
Teach me your ways
omg please teach me
please teach me, sempai
I can't express in word how much I loved this performance. I remember the first time I watched it, I thought Emi's song was quite boring. Then, I saw both Kousei and Emi get extremely serious, and was BLOWN AWAY by the performance. God, I love you, Chopin.
I love all pieces which were composed by chopin :)
Me tooo 😍
SAME FAM. YOU ARE SO RIGHT I LOVE CHOPIN
シオン怪盗 same
明人赤坂 Sometimes I feel like when Chopin was composing this, he got bored at the beginning and thought, hey, why don't I use EVERY FRICKEN KEY ON THE PIANO
Emmy K of course
emis performance has actually made me practice and have a reason to play the piano. i want to play this piece one day and play like her.
This anime's song selection is fantastic!
LET IT RING!
This is why I love Chopin so much!
+burdette scott I believe this is the reason we all love chopin so much, his music is almost impossible for ordinary players but it is supposed to be, being able to play his music shows that you decided to put deducated time and effort into learning what is such a technically challenging instrument
I'm getting chills right now as I'm typing this comment. This is some good shit right here.
bosch true
Watching your lie in April really made me want to pick up the piano again. I use to play but I never really took it seriously. To me it was something to do after my singer lesson. (Which I took a lot more seriously than piano.) Now watching your lie in makes me want to do it again with a lot more passion. I want to be so good at the piano, because of watching your lie in April. Now I wanted so much more with the piano because it made me so happy inside listening to them play. I want to play and make people happy how they did to me. (This song is my favorite in the show btw)
This is my favorite song in the show.. I mean.. you can just feel the composer's Anger in the way it is played, but at the same time... there is sadness in his notes.
Hermoso
I wish I could have been a pianist or violinist, but no. I ended up with the clarinet. Still love it, but I really want to learn piano and violin🤔😶
your never to old to learn smthing new!
[ ] Yeah, I know. I'm trying to save up for a cheap violin from Amazon. So far, I'm $25 away! Still haven't asked my dad lol😂
hahaha youll do it :D my mom said if i am able to play the keyboard from my brother ill get a piano haha
Allison Smith, I play the clarinet and piano :D we can be buddies
all instruments are beautiful in their own way :)
*Haven't seen the show in a bit*
Ahhhh, this is a nice...
0:24
WHAT THE FU- Oh... Forgot the song is faster from now on...
The original composition is meant to be played faster like that, it goes from that slow simple bit to the fast and complex piece you here after, it wasn't just her deciding to play it that fast though, I do believe she sped it up a bit.
Daniel Back I know that, I've listened to the original before watching the actual anime. Sorry if there was some confusion and replying late since this comment was a week ago.
Anime Weirdo lol I had the same reaction too
Anime Weirdo luciel? What are you doing here?
Anime Weirdo it's actually a lot faster than it's played here
let it ring!
Let it Ring!
this anime made me buy a piano, no regrets-
this anime inspired me to start this piece... so hard tho
Dakota Rogers-Hurtado I see you've noticed my profile picture but I'll have to restrain myself to not go fangirling all over u.
How hard?
playing it is hard but the structure is simple
Did u learn it??
Same
I love that this piece starts kind of slow then all of a sudden it's like BANG! DA DADADA DADA DA DA! 🤯
This song gives me chills when I hear it!! It's so beautiful💖
It has been said before and i will say it again. "Let it ring."
Hibike. Hibike!
...Honestly, I loved how alike Emi and,Kaori really were and yet managed to be so opposite in declaration of intent that the two were like the Sun and the Moon as musicians...all because of four whole minutes at the age of five.
That kinda live and admiration borders on pure obssession.
Irony being that all that Kaori was, Emi displayed all the things she herself could not.
Both had the same starting points, same obssession, same depth of feelings and yet expressed them so contrary to each other in expression that it's just too much.
Oddly enough, the two never directly cross paths and only were ever in the same room twice....though Emi never saw a performance of Kaori's while Kaori obswrved just how alike they were.
The biggest flip is in how they expressed their "instability".
One in their playing, or expression of life while living "suppressed", while the other entails their "life itself" wihilst living unbidden on borrowed time.
The common denominator----
A boy, their feelings, and music... all of which pointed in parallel in the same direction.
Damn I love this song
Rin kagamine It’s a music piece.
This song is Chopin Étude Op.25 No.11, please specify that. Actually this piece of anime gave me a reason to keep on playing the Piano. I used hate piano, I wanna learn this song before I'm 14 years old.
Étude in A minor, Op. 25, No. 11 'Winter Wind'
I used to hate piano and violin too...I got tired playing them but this anime made me play piano and violin again and made me love classical musics like this! 😊😊😊
Same, I used to play Cello, I hated it, now I have a reason to start playing again!
Yeah, Love this piece the most
if u dont learn to love the piano because your soul wants to then u ll end up hating it again. a bunch of people into an anime wont make a chane for a long time kid. find a reason for your own like kousei did.
Piano keys: White dove and Black cat. ╮(╯_╰)╭
Black cat = Kousei Arima
White dove = Kaori Miyazono
Wasn't Kousei saying that she was the cat and that is how the cat's death was symbolic of her own?
0:22 holy shoot! that scared the snot outta me! GOD!
Banky The Unikitty very good
the animes also called your lie in April if anyone didn't know
The romanticization of this kind of music is something that is never talked about enough. How beautifully it was done in the anime. How beautifully it was written in the manga. Both experiences of the sub and dub are absolutely phenomenal. This story has it all: the emotion, realism of young love, the tragedy. Just stunning
That's was the moment when this anime truly got my attention whole heartedly
Best performance of the entire show
This inspired me to go back to piano after quitting cause I wanted to play this piece so badly. I played Fantasie impromptu first and then moved in to study this piece. It took me 5 months to get this piece good (but not perfect). Now I enjoy the piano more than ever. THANKS ANIME
LET IT RING!!
Probably my favorite performance from the show
best part of april lie... one of my favorite segments of all anime. very good
My 2nd favorite Chopin piece.
The low notes to me represent Chopin's single-minded focus, while the higher ones are the chaos surrounding him. He is able so resist for a while, but in the end it overpowers him, and he becomes one with it.
What is the name song?
This performance is too powerful! 🙉💖 I can feel the anger, loneliness, eagerness, and hatred.
I love this cause, it not cause she good looken but she showed that it not just playing the piano but play it with your feelings and heart
I keep coming back to this!! It’s just so wonderful to hear ❤️
i watched your lie in april so long ago and i cant get over emis preformance it was my favorite in the anime
it sounds hard, but when you read the actual sheet music..
its even harder.
The way I can here the red and the yellow in this. The left hand plays the anger and the right hand plays the loneliness. This is the best performance in the show
Bro, This might be the best performance of this piece that I've heard
I could listen to this forever
I'm really grateful that my mother put my in piano and violin classes as a child
my mom said to me when i was younger that when i grow up i will say thank you mum for forcing me to play the piano and violin. i am not regreting it at all, thanks mum for forcing me to play the piano and violin lol
The best song of the anime.
1:57 THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PART
This is such a beutiful peice of artwork, not for the eyes, but for the vaulnerable ears. The song is sheilding for those who love it, and an attack against all who despise, and disdain anime. For all of it's beutiful, glorious, funny, sad, creepy, heartwarming, and messed up moments, we still owe it a great deal of tribute to making our lives the slightest bit more colorful, relatable, and easier to overcome. Thank you.
I get chills at the beginning every time.
I could just feel and hear her anger as she played her solo
Not only is this a very challenging piece to play, but Emi played it with such emotion. Out of all the people I’ve heard play this, a girl in an anime plays it with the most emotion!
0:36 THE BEST PART LITERALLY I LOVE IT
This piece is so full of emotions... i love it!
I live for this song
her performance is beautiful especially the masterpiece she played
This is probably my favourite classical piece so far from the ones I’ve heard :)
Perfect 😯
Fue una presentación tan imponente, la mejor del anime para mí.
I'm I the only one who got chills just listening to this
no... not at all...
Bold of you to assume tho
its a beautiful piece I agree.
This performance made me feel so much emotion this is probably my favorite is so inspiring
My all time favorite piece!
LET IT RING!!
My favorite piece out of the entire series
I loved how this sounded I’ve been attached to Emi’s performance I couldn’t stop listening to this 💖😂
PLEASE KOUSEI AND EMI ARE SO TALENTED OMG
Let it ring!
I have been playing piano for a few years but I quit last year. I still played every once in a while but I didn't do classes but when I heard this piece it made me want to start again. So I have the sheet music for this song and even though I'm only grade 1 in piano I want to learn this, play it at the school concert and show everyone what I can do!
響け。響け。響け!!!
As both a violinist and a pianist, your lie in April is my favorite series and probably the only anime I’ll ever be addicted to.
I loved this performance so much
Let It Ring!
