It's amazing how important music is to memorable moments in film. Some hints of 'commando' and 'aliens' in it but very very effective. I think this film and soundtrack is underrated.
This soundtrack contains all the seeds for "Braveheart" and "Titanic" (and some themes are better here). It is, possibly, the most underrated work by James Horner.

It's nice to hear a harp being used in a music score, alongside the use of a piano. Nowadays, music scores sound mundane and formulaic. I still do miss Horner.

I am just happy to know Giacchino is doing it, I really LOVE his _War for the Planet of the Apes_ score, I was left deeply emotional from that, so I have faith in him. *;)* Speaking of _The Batman,_ I like that, from what it seems like, it will be more like a detective/serial killer thriller similar to _Se7en_ and _Chinatown,_ but I am waiting to see how Robert Pattinson will turn out in the title role, I do hope he's taking it as seriously as he should.
