The history of the names of the planets and how the Romans and the Latin language played a role in them is available for anyone to look up online, I am no expert on that part of the matter. But even in their Greek names, you can easily see a pattern emerge from the names of the planets that doesn't have to do with the "sky" and the "sea" and the "rings of ice and rock" features that they boast.
herschel discovered it and named "georgium sidus" or "gorge star" in honor of king george, but internationally it was named uranus because all other planets are named after latin gods and that is what we have today

@@arturmizuno They didn't even get that right. Uranus is the latinized name for Ourannos, the Greek God, but the Roman's never called it Uranus. The proper name would've been Caelus.
