I have met Joe Kristof at his shop when I started bowling back in 1997. He and his son Karl has really helped me with my game. Even then and now Karl Kristof has been drilling my bowling balls for the 19 years that I have been bowling. Joe Kristof was a class act of a guy! I will never forget Joe ever!

Kristof really keeps a good steady head. Keeps his eyes right in place throughout the shot. Always beneficial.

Joe drilled a ball for me, it was while in Columbus, Ohio. The ball was a roto-star that gave me many great scores until I screwed it up with a adjustable thumb grip. He was a ClassAct!

And old school Roto-Star, it was a very popular ball back in the day! I knew a couple of professional bowlers in the 60s who used that ball and swore by it.

    Good upload, more please.

So if Kristof was having trouble sticking at the foul line, why didn't he do something about it instead of just continuing to bowl without trying to remedy the problem?

Agree here. It only took one time when I nearly busted my ass on a sticky approach at the foul line. I got a mini container of baby powder and VERY CAREFULLY put a tad on my left shoe sole. I still carry that little container around in my bowling bag. But I do warn you, don’t just slather it on or else you’ll end up 10 feet down the lane on your butt! 😅

      We call that a lilly

Every bowler I’ve ever known also calls it the Lilly

As for the lilly, I’ve never actually left one, but I’ve come dangerously close once or twice way back in the day, each time my entire team completely fell out, and it’s taken me many years to live that one down! 😅

Neither bowler had any luck at all on alley #47.
