When I started watching fragrance videos on CZcams a couple years ago, my collection consisted of one perfume (Flowerbomb) and lots of Bath & Body Works lotions and mists. I’ve owned other perfumes in the past, but only one or two bottles at a time. Now I own 136 😬

I don’t think you have to be a CZcamsr to collect and be obsessed with perfume s! Hahahaha speaking from experience here 🤣 but… if I wasn’t influenced by anyone then I would probably have 3-5 perfumes at a time and it would be strictly designer and found at Sephora on the VIB sales

I used to wear no perfumes or makeup. The first perfume I bought was Pur Blanca from Avon, and for many years it was my only perfume, and I didn´t even wear it daily.
Then my boyfriend gifted me Lady million. I wore it until I ran out of it. After that, I started to like essential oils, especially lavender. And I was also given Light Blue EDT - that was something I really liked. Also, I used to try some cheapies in drugstores, which seemed to me incredibly pricey, and I didn´t like them at all.
That´s it for my pre-youtube pre-fragrantica life. It´s hard to even read it now for me :-D Without the internet, I would smell like a bathroom freshener or wear whatever I was given.
Now I take care of myself, wear makeup daily, own over 80 perfumes, and transformed into a gourmand lover :-)

If I had fewer perfumes in my collection, they would be 12 current obsessions 😄: Chloe Nomade OG, Arabians Tonka, Delina or Rose 01-Swiss Arabian which I adore, Olympea Intense or OG, Rose extase absolue, Amber oud Gold, La nuit tresoir, White Tea, Burberry Her, Delina Exclusif, By the Fireplace and my new discovery-Bal D'Afrique. CZcams made me buy a couple of online hyped fragrances that I sadly dont like anymore. I still hold on to my classics that I keep repurchasing for years, like chanel no 5 extrait and some old school guerlains.
From the “newer ones” I could say that mon guerlain is a staple for life… hope they will never discontinue it. I think I wil explore flankers more in the future if I like a perfume and buy more of the first batch before it gets watered down

Well 🤔 I was collecting perfumes way before we had mobile phones let alone CZcams, I am not a CZcamsr and most of my perfumes are niche and private collections. When you're addicted to perfumes most probably you don't want to smell like everyone else and that comes with a cost, however well done you for another eye catching video
Before I started watching frag CZcams, I only had DKNY be delicious , Nest Citrine, YSL Mon Paris, and Ralph Ralph Lauren was my signature scent. Now I have a collection! If I never was influenced by CZcams, I think I would have MM’s Replica By the Fireplace, Armani Code, Valentino Donna Born in Roma, Kayali Vanilla 28, and a cheapie freshie Elizabeth Arden Green Tea.
Chanel 5, Allure, Coco, Lolita Lempicka, purple apple :-), Mugler Muse edt, Angel edt, Burberry London, Estee Lauder Modern Muse, and some more and more 😄

I try so hard to not be super influenced by CZcams and for some reason when I surrender and blind buy something because of hype I usually am not super happy. It happened to me a lot of times, but my truly favorite fragrances I discovered accidentally. My recent love is Passeggiata In Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II by Trussardi and I have never heard of someone on CZcams talking about it. Sometimes I feel even guilty when I don't like something that is super hyped in the social media, that's definitely weird lol 🤣 p.s I also love Poison Girl so much, that's amazing sweet sensual fragrance
I have almost nothing that's hyped, and I own 129 fragrances 😉. I prefer to watch channels that show oldies, celebrities (because they're often vilified, but can be great), small brands, dupe houses etc (Sarah Mayes is amazing that way. Most of what she shows I've never heard or read about... and I read A LOT). But then, I still only blind buy after reading extra reviews, checking notes, and being sure I can get it discounted somewhere. I still had a few failed blind buys as a result, but that was simply because they didn't work on my skin against all odds. And...I also own about 30 Middle Eastern perfumes, with several more on the wishlist (they have so many great gourmands or sweet Florientals). I'm honest: I would have never discovered them if I hadn't discovered the amazing A Fragrant Glance here on YT. Because of her, I now have several fragrances I use almost daily! And from there on out, I started my own research, which made me get to the 30 bottles (and about 20 samples! I always need to test Oud containing fragrances because sadly it rarely works well on my skin, though 2 of my current Top 10 have Oud). Also great: many of the Middle Eastern fragrances are very, very affordable. Sure, they have niche lines, high end lines that start at 70 bucks and go over 300 euro even. But I'm speaking about the regular ones that usually cost max €30. For 100ml! (I also like Poison Girl, but the one in my collection now is a dupe. The Le Femme de Fleurs by La Rive. Some fragrances I like, but I just don't wear that often. For me, especially with my limited budget, dupes can be a great option then).
I have about 90 perfumes... Too many for me but ordered another one last night 😂 I would stick to hypnotic poison (the old formula), la Nuit Tresor, light blue intense, Chanel eau tendre, Dior addict, sun Jill sander, j'adore Dior, Chanel coco mademoiselle... And one I don't have yet Chanel Gardenia... Really like your reviews and too bad that VOL is out of stock ❤ blessings

I think I would have idole and la nuit tresor because I started out with lveb. I tried ysl libre before the hype and liked it. I tried angel and alien because of the hype but landed on my favorite mugler muse edp.
I think I would have made my way to chance eau fraiche and coco noir.
I think I would have missed jpg la belle without your influence and that would have been terrible because I love it.
I would have missed Mon guerlain which I also love.
I’d have found Zara vetiver pamplemouse. Elizabeth and James amethyst. Kilian princess. Etat libre d’orange Noel au balcon and spice must flow. Kenzo amour.

Hard to say. I didn't get into perfume because of youtube and I don't purchase because of it, if I was that easily influenced i'd have both BR540 and Coco Mad as every man and his dog seems to think they are "must haves". nope. they aren't. don't like either and don't want to smell like everyone else. I don't buy based on reviews, I sample from them, but I couldn't tell you what perfumes I have I heard about because of youtube, fragrantica, advertising, personal recommendations, sales assistants, or randomly trying them in store. I don't blind buy at all. I always test extensively before purchase and I'm super fussy what makes the cut as I don't want a million bottles I like or are "ok". I want a small wardrobe of big loves.

I live in The Netherlands, so I'm curious if they have fragrances I can't get here (or maybe, even including shipping, they're more affordable). Thank you!
And: I have a tip RE Alien. Check Parfum Parlour. They have a UK website, but they sell in my country on some Middle Eastern webshops, so you could first check in your own place of residence/ country. Anyway, Parfum Parlour creates many dupes and they have one called External that's copying the OLD Alien. Sadly they had to reformulate too due to new regulations (I fear that's why we got Patchouli instead of Amber), so it's not an exact- exact copy of the early 2000s anymore, but the bottle I got a few weeks back is still quite close. Definitely get the Extrait! That one is quite longlasting even on me (Edp's last max 3hrs on me, no matter how expensive the fragrance. Only strong Oud lasts all day on me, but sadly Oud stinks like cow dung on me). I bought the 60ml Eau de Parfum Extrait spray and it is the closest Alien dupe I've tried so far.
I only had 3 perfumes before I started watching fragrance CZcams back in July 2022. Now I have 35 (32 added in 6 months - not including ones I’ve decluttered). Safe to say I’m obsessed now! With my collection so far the ones I couldn’t be without are:
