The thing I always think about Conker is that it's actually an incredibly technically proficient N64 game, there's things in it that wouldn't happen in any other game on a Nintendo system until the Gamecube came around. Like, every character is modeled fantastically well (everyone with hands actually has independently moving fingers!), the game's fully voiced which really didn't happen often on the N64, the lighting and shadows are really well done, the music is well done, the animation is fluid and expressive...
And it's all put toward what is essentially a 11 hour long s***post that Rare made on a lark.
Same story for the remake as well, one of the best looking games on the original xbox
It is without a doubt my favorite game on the N64. Incredibly fun and the multiplayer was super unique as well.
The game didn't even used the Expansion Pack, DK64 need it for some trivial thing, yet 1-2 year later they didn't even need the damn thing for a more demanding game.
@@UltraPaperGamer DK64 needed it to fix a game breaking bug because the team in Rare that worked on it hadn’t done something of the scope of it before.

That achievement pop made me remember just how many bloody achievements Rare Replay has. I'll get back to that monstrosity eventually.
Same, I've gotten all the achievements up to some game called Kameo, where I stopped and haven't returned.

Holy shit this game, this was the weirdest game I owned as little kid and I have no idea how or why I even had it. Made me feel so odd, like it blew my mind this existed.
Looking forward to diving into this when I get time later. This was one of my childhood games that would not have been made Today

Back in my day, when a game was default inverted, we played inverted. When it was default correct, we played it correct. That’s what made games feel different from each other. Kids these days will never know the pleasure of being able to play both.
