- Under The Gun playback performance by The Sisters Of Mercy on the Elf99 show on 26th November 1993. Jovanka Wilsdorf sang Terri Nunn's part and also played keyboards. This was the bands last TV performance.
Two worlds apart, two together
Into that good night kiss away
One takes the hard, one the other
Kiss a way
Are you living for love?
Are you living for love?
When the road gets too tough
Is your love strong enough?
(Are you living?)
(Are you living for love?)
(Are you living for love?)
Do you feel your head is full of thunder?
Questions never end?
Empty nights alone?
No wonder
It all comes back again
Are you living for love?
Are you living for love?
I've been under the gun
I've lost and I've won...
(One, two, three, four ...)
Forget the many steps to heaven (Are you living?)
It never happened and it ain't so hard (Are you living for love?)
Happiness is a loaded weapon and a
Short cut is better by far (Are you living for love?)
Explosive bolts, ten thousand volts (Are you living?)
At a million miles an hour (Are you living for love?)
Abrasive wheels and molten metals
It's a semi-automatic, get in the car (Are you living for love?)
Corrosive heart and frozen heat (Are you living?)
We're worlds apart where we could meet (Are you living for love?)
Where the street fold round and the motors start
And the idiot wields the power (Are you living for love?)
Where the chosen hold the highest card (Are you living?)
On the field of honour where the ground is hard (Are you living for love?)
So the highest hand is joking wild
And the house soon fold and no-one stand (Are you living for love?)
I put my finger on and dialled (Love? Love?)
The tower, the moon, the gun, and (Love?)
Nine nine nine, singer down (Love? Love? Love? Love?)
Cloudburst and all around (Are you living for love?)
The first are last, the blessed get wired (Are you living?)
The best is yet to come (Are you living for love?)
I put my finger on and fired
Heat-seeking, out of the sun (Are you living for love?)
You can set the controls for the heart or the knees (Are you living?)
And the meek'll inherit what they damn well please (Are you living for love?)
Get ahead, go figure, go ahead and pull the trigger
Everything under the gun (Are you living for love?)
Under the gun (Are you living?)
Under the gun (Are you living for love?)
Everything under the gun
Everything under the gun (Are you living for love?)

Sisters fan for 35yrs but not seen this before, a rarely promoted phase of the band.
Perhaps understandably so…
Hands down, some of the best "Action Movie End Credits Rock" to never make it onto the end credits of an action movie.
It's good music to cook baked spam on of good old Sundays.
What's the movie.
@@brendanmaguire4258 It never made it onto the end credits of any action movie, but it should've. Preferably an action movie with a lot of skydiving.
Agreed
@@solonfuller7478 Spam on toast.
He is one of the best singer and performer that ever happen to music!! Saw him in munich KPO in the 90's spectacular. THX for that.
i did buy the single when it came out 😜
Terry Nunn of Berlin (Take My Breath Away fame) was the original female vocal...
1993 was the year The Sisters became my fave band. I skipped Depeche Mode for The Sisters.
Ten years after the event, they were great 83-85
@@punkoid76They were great whenever anyone discovered them and listened to their music. Don't be that guy.
long time ago, i' m an old ossi, but, never forget this time and now i`m 50, so look at this time and now, a great remembering and let's do (alles) to refresh sisters.
The drummer was flawless
lol!
you have won the internet today lol
LMFAO!
Like a never ending “avalanche”😉
Ich liebe diesen Song seit ewigen Zeiten❤
Me estremece..
Me pone los pelos de punta está canción..👌🔥🔥

Te adoro!!!!! Tú voz me llena el Alma y el Cuerpo...
😍👄👄🇪🇦👽💥💥💥👌💎💎💎
SISTERS OF MERCY ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Back when the Sisters still were a name and not just a fading memory of former glory
are you ttp?
I was at their first ever gig in London, and plenty more after.
Great song...
That's Terri's voice as it's not live.
What do you expect from a one song TV appearance?
It sounds different to the studio version though.
eddie martinez in the guitar and Jovanka von Wilsdorf in the shyntetizers
No, that's not terriers voice. That is Jovanka Wilsdorf. She in fact play the keyboard and live vocal in this video. She got the gig cause she sounded so much like Terry.
I meant Terry sorry
This is in no way a live performance.
@@Generatorheadit could be since the drums and bass are programmed. Not that hard to make the guitar, voice, and keyboards sound like the record.
Male vocal isn't Andrew it's Jack Russell.
Increíble..ha conseguido aguantar cuatro minutos sin fumar 😅
Terri Nunn’s voice.
awesome song...she was amazing !
Pretty sure this is the original recording and not live.
Impressed by lip sync eh?
@@ScarletVoodoo youre right
Woooow never thought i would see this recording again. thanks for the upload !
Hadnt seen this TV performance before -chers Dok!
This song always reminds me of the labyrinth for some reason.
probly because of bowie....
Eldritch's Roxette phase!
I remember buying the CD single as it was The Sisters and the box was cool and black.
But it's little surprising this was the last single, its not a patch on their earlier stuff.
Ah but the B side was Alice (1993). Name me a better second track on a single.
Fing brilliant
Very good 👍Thank you..
Ach.. Was hat mich dieses Lied und diese Band geprägt
Memories❤️
TO JE BOMBA.
Awesome
super
Then when Andrew had voice!! 😂😂
Great!!!
❤️
No expense spared on the pyrotechnics.
Prototype for Rammstein ;-)
This was the final sisters song?
This, along with Alice (1993) were the last officially released songs by The Sisters, but many new songs have been introduced at their live shows such as Arms and most recently, Better Reptile.
@@doktoravalanche2910 Dear Doktor, I’m three years late, however I still loves ya.

That’s not TN
TSOM❤❤❤❤
LIVE
Adam Pearson replaced by Andreas Bruhn
Andrew Eldritch, Adam Pearson and Jovanka Wilsdorf
How could you forget the Doktor _ he never misses a beat!
Looks more like Andreas than Pearson,
Hot girl🌹
Playback they Are not actually singing
Correct. Nothing live here...
Good God, what is happening here?
Jovanka Wilsdorf is so much hot than Terri Nunn
Lip syncing Ms Nunn ,,, 😞
Don't get me wrong, I love The Sisters but I was always on the border of genius or ridiculous. Still not sure but still drawn.
The same with The Mission.
Andrew Eldritch was into being bombastic and ridiculous but also having songs with actual meaning and saying something. That’s a great combo. The Mission on the other hand. Never said anything worthwhile.
@@AlbinoGreen Eldritch was also self aware of his potential ridiculousness, and reveled in it. The Mission on the other hand.
Eldritch was very self aware, but also a genius as his lyrics were a level above what most rock singers come up with. The original guitarist Benn Gunn left because he thought they started taking themselves too seriously and started off as a joke/parody of rock bands but it went to Andrews head when they found success. I like The Mission though, generally clueless lyrically but some of the songs were great despite this.
@Justin Vaughan I will hear the lamentations of their women…
@@CirKhan What is wrong with The Mission? The Killing Moon was a great song.
Фанера.
'kin awful drivel.
Should of stayed with gary Marx
Gary got sick of him and quit spring of '85.

This was a east-german television show somewhere in east-berlin in 1993. I think there were a lot of people watching who would dig this. ;-)
This is, fuckin* hell, the cheapest, PLAYBACK interpretation, EVER!
Making money that way is a major sin for any artist - makes me puke right into
the Chest of Patricia! (is this the original Patricia, anyway?)
I am not an artist, true. If i were one, i would be ashamed to death, delivering a
crappy performance like this!
