- 27.03.2022 | Wejście amerykańskiego niszczyciela rakietowego USS Forrest Sherman (DDG-98) do portu w Gdańsku. Jest to okręt typu Arleigh Burke, który na trzy dni zawitał do tegoż portu z oficjalną wizytą w celu uzupełnienia zapasów. Odwiedziny amerykanów były oficjalnie zapowiedziane, informacja pojawiła się na portowych stronach, serwisach telewizyjnych i informacyjnych oraz u samego źródła, czyli US Navy. Pierwsze ujęcie nagrane zostało przy wejściu do portu z Falochronu Zachodniego, skąd rozciąga się piękny widok na trójmiejskie wybrzeże, a drugie z ul. Starowiślnej i okolic rejonu Nabrzeża Zbożowego, naprzeciwko Twierdzy Wisłoujście. Pozdrawiam napotkanych fotografów oraz załogę i zapraszam do oglądania!
27th March 2022 | The USS Forrest Sherman (DDG-98) guided-missile destroyer entering the port of Gdansk. She is an Arleigh Burke-class warship, which made an official visit to the Gdansk port for three days to replenish supplies. The visit of the American warship was officially announced, the information appeared on port websites, television and news websites, and at the very source, i.e. the US Navy. The first shot was recorded at the entrance to the port from the West Breakwater, which offers a beautiful view of the Tricity Baltic coastline and second from Starowislna Street, opposite the Wisloujscie Fortress. Long live the United Sates Navy. Love to see American presence in Poland. Short story about the ship and it's men. "She departed Norfolk for her maiden deployment in July 2007, visiting various nations around the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. In August 2007, while the ship was visiting Sevastopol to conduct drills with the Ukrainian Navy, a 1,100 pounds (500 kg) naval mine from the Second World War was discovered 500 yards from the vessel. The mine was secured before it could damage the ship.[1] Also during that visit, she became the first US Navy ship to land a Ukrainian Navy helicopter. She also conducted Reliant Mermaid 2007 with the Turkish and Israeli Navies."

Jakoś taki lekko zaniedbany ten okręt :P No ale zawsze coś, fajnie że są.
Trudno, żeby był odmalowany, jak przepłynął cały ocean i potem pół roku operował na tutejszych wodach. Też to jest dosy stary okręt bo z 1991, ponad 30 lat.
