I have to say, I enjoyed this trailer, a whole lot more than you did. I’ve known that Earth has his goofy side from things like Earth Mix Space, and I thought he was really tapping into that here in a way I found very promising. (I will have to admit that I am not approaching it from someone who has seen the original, so I don’t have that to compare to.) I think Mix is going to be good just because he always impresses me, and I like their casting for the boss. And it doesn’t hurt that it has the same director as My School President, which I recall people being skeptical about after the mock trailer as well. Anyway, this is one of my most anticipated shows in the whole lineup.

It’s an adaptation to Thai taste. Earth’s energy here fits well with how ppl here can relate. The majority of the audiences in TH praise his interpretation so far rather than asking him to act on par with Japanese cartoon way of acting

I feel like Japanese humour (like the humour in Ossans Love) wouldn't work so well in a Thai drama - its a style of comedy and overacting that works for Japanese dramas and audiences, but I don't feel like it would translate so well in a Thai adaptation. I think Cherry Magic Thailand was a great example of that - New was a waaaaay more calmed down "normal" version of Adachi and Junior as Jinta was even more of a chilled out version of his characters Japanese counterpart- them being way more toned down really worked for Cherry Magic and so I expect we will be getting the same thing with Earth in Ossans Love. I felt like in this trailer he was overacting to a Thai comedy level, not a Japanese comedy level, which for me works here. That's just my point of view though :)

Agree. Every country has different ways of everything. I have watched Ossan's Love Japanese after the Thai version was announced last year. I must say my first watch was a boring experience. Then I watched it again and I loved it. I realized the comedy and humour are very different from the way of Indian one. So, I had to first understand the Japanese way. I watched a few more Japanese shows to understand that. That is why I never compare ifit'ss a remake. I will analyse and criticise according to what goes with the local audience.

I love earthmix, especially Mix since ATOTS. As a rookie there, he was a revelation. Even though he’s relatively new, he is way more versatile as he can also act in a comedy naturally. Just as good as he is in drama. On that note, I agree that Earth is still the weakest between the two. Although I’m not normally into like over the top characters, but when it’s done right or it fits with the story then I don’t mind, I just hope that he improves, I don’t mind ossan and mix getting together though lol 😂

Earth &the boss r more similar to HK remake than ori jpn, tho Mix is closer to ori jpn. Mo ex is the manager, myb Ten in this trailer. I was hoping the manager also hotter oh well!
