Charles: He won 2 MVPs back to back! He has to get to the Finals!
That takes me back when he won the MVP. He said "This is our year. We're playing the Bulls in the Finals.". And he KNEW his only matchup was Jordan. So he's saying that Jokic (and the Nuggets of course) must have the same mentality
I think Jokic does have that same mentality. The competition is hella tough tho, so it won't be easy for anybody including the 2x MVP.

Lets hope these two teams, Suns-Nuggets, do meet again in the 2nd round. Really will be a battle for West Supremacy, since I believe whoever wins that series would end up being the team that makes the NBA Finals
Warriors a better team than Suns. Suns have no bench.
@@RS-ol8or Every Suns starter can get double digits. Every one of them. At best, 3 Warriors starters will. Suns starters can put up 100 by themselves. Ayton should be rebounding and scoring over Looney easily. They have the better starting five, and their bench has put up 50 points multiple times without KD. So I heard persons saying Nuggets bench gave the Suns a run but one can clearly see the Suns were experimenting with CP3 to be a scorer instead of a facilitator, cause come play off time when they double team KD and Book the others mainly CP3 have to become the 3rd scoring option which makes the Suns even more deadly

Suns starters were slated to play heavy minutes by the coach, they were not playing hard for most of them
You have to understand that when giannis antetoukoumpo won two MVPs he didn't go to the finals only the conference finals and same goes for Nikola jokic these two players are showing the NBA that they ain't forming a superteam they willing stick it out through hard times. Something what Kevin Durant hasn't learn yet that's why he won't be in any conversation.
Jokic has not sniffed the conference finals during his MVP run, and Giannis got punished in MVP vote for flaming out in semis in his 2nd MVP year. Last 2 years, Jokic got to semis where he was swept, and got gentleman swept in 1st round. Despite KD pulling what he pulled, at least he and his teams went to finals and multiple conference finals before he joined a super team (just like Lebron). KD's rings kinda stink cause of what he did, but if he wins one with PHX who were clearly no title threat without him, he's gonna be elevated just like Steph was last year.

Dallas was a bad defensive team before the trade and are a bad team after. Kyrie and Luka missed games and Jason Kidd hasn’t coached well at all whether it’s rotations or just gameplan. On the other hand Phoenix still has way more talent even after trading for Durant, a better coach than Dallas, and a more heathy roster. Kyrie is still a superstar and Dallas’ problems are not on him.
@@thrillwill5 not the kinda superstar that can lead his team to a championship. A Robin at best
Look at the teams that these back to back mvps had. Larry bird had Kevin mchale, Robert parish, and Dennis Johnson. Who is joker playing with that’s a future hall of famer??
Murray
It's not about that. Every player in NBA history that has won B2B MVPs, let alone a 3x, puts you in the category where you should be able to carry your team anywhere; solely because of your greatness. Even when Nash went back to back, it was the NBA Finals or bust for Phoenix. When Giannis went back to back, Milwaukee was seen as a championship or bust team because of him. Not to mention Denver is the #1 seed not only because of Jokic, but because his team has improved and is finally healthy since the last time they went to the WCF. You can nitpick about the caliber of player around Jokic compared to the rest of the league, yet they're still in prime position to get it done. People nitpicked Duncan and Giannis team when they went back to back, but they still got it done. Parker and Ginobili were young foreign players with no expectations of greatness and David Robinson was old. Yet, Duncan going back to back made it so they had to win; and they did. Eventually Parker and Manu became all time greats, but they weren't viewed that way in the beginning. Same with Jrue and Khris in Milwaukee. The greatness from the MVP is supposed to enhance the abilities of his teammates to areas you normally wouldn't put them in. All the others who succeed have. That's the position Jokic is in right now and he should get it done.
And guess what Bird did during those 3 MVP years… led Boston to the best regular season record every single year (including a 67W season)!… And also led them to the Finals every single year, while winning 2 rings! Joker did NONE of that.
Not to mention, the league was stacked in the 80’s, especially the East, and the Showtime Lakers on paper were the most talented team in the NBA!
So, you wanna talk about teammates and whatnot… First of all, Bird did what he had to! Lived up to the expectations to say the VERY LEAST. And you look at the Celtics in 1984, for example.. their main core was playing well below their standards in the Playoffs, Bird had to carry them all the way (led the team in pretty much every statistical category)!
Not to mention, if Parish had stayed in Golden State or such, he wouldn’t be a HoF’er. DJ cemented his HoF spot with the Celtics (past his prime already), and probably wouldn’t get there otherwise. McHale I think could’ve done it on another team IF he managed to stay healthy during more years. People forget that the Celtics went from low attendances, internal turmoil, and the 2nd worst record in the league… IMMEDIATELY to the best record in the league and making the ECF, when Bird came around! While the roster was pretty much the same, no McHale, Parish, DJ, so on.. for that matter!

Shaq is recovering from surgery, while Kenny and Chuck covered March madness. They are tired.
Why does MVP have to get to the finals? This makes no sense. It’s a REGULAR season award and Chuck literally just fought Shaq about that this very day about Nash during the REGULAR SEASON
He's trolling Shaq. Every person who follows the NBA knows MVPs get validated in the post season. It's always been that way and there's so much video, articles, etc where voters and players openly talk about the post season in relation to MVPs. If it was just a regular season award, no one would have a problem with Nash's 2 (which get talked about only cause he never even made the finals).
Because what you do in the regular season, puts you in position for what should be foreseeable in the playoffs. The last time Denver was 100% healthy, they made the WCF. Jokic was still dominant then, yet Murray was the heart and the catalyst that helped push them past two 3-1 deficits, against teams the time that were seen as better than Denver. Going into that next two seasons with high expectations, Murray and MPJ are hurt, Jokic improves historically even more and carries his team as far as they can go without legitimate help and wins B2B MVPs. Yes, MVPs normally say I had the best individual regular season comparable to my teams success, but sometimes it can say I was the best player in the NBA, having the best regular season. That is what category Jokic falls in this year. Now, Denver is back healthy, basically picking up where they truly left off two year ago and now with a B2B MVP and what should be a 3x MVP. With all that put together, the evidence shows there is no reason the Nuggets should not be able to reach the NBA Finals, let alone the WCF once again. When Nash won B2B MVPs , they were pegging the Suns to make the NBA Finals as well. They got to the WCF in both those years, but they were seen as a failed season since you had the #1 record and the league MVP and couldn't cross the threshold. It still means something when you put those two parameters together.
I don’t want to hear about The Joker not having his guys blah blah, Lebron took a team that had Mario Chalmers as his starting point guard to the Finals😂
Literally not a single half decent win during that streak though
All of you guys hating on Kd needs to take a moment everywhere he goes he makes the team better yes i get it ppl wanna bash him for going to Gsw but imo a free agent is FREE to choose where he goes so as long as the man isn't officially breaking any rule I'm cool with it. Naah, look at their points bro.
