Hey Jules, it’s such a tough question for me to answer because I don’t know your situation and I don’t like to give advice because (not a financial advisor) but it depends on your level of belief in the company. If you believe they’ll be successful long term, then they’re a hold. If you’re concerned, just assess what your loss tolerance is and cut your losses at that point. You have a huge investment which leads me to believe you like their long term prospects, so if it was ME...I would hold. But again, not an advisor! Sorry I couldn’t give you a very clear answer. What I will say is that with hype stocks and growth stocks in their earliest phases, it’s better to buy once it comes down of a jump because that’s usually what happens. They blow up for a day or two then come back down, rinse and repeat.
One thing here Dan, it’s not $160m to workhorse, they only have a 4.8% ownership in the proforma company so at the $10 issue price that’s only $79m. Additionally, they haven’t sold any of their stake (listened to the announcement call) and they will also be subject to a lockup period too, so no cash flowing to Workhorse for this just yet, and it’s just going to be a larger amount on their balance sheet now than it was previously. Also explained this in my video. Great video though Dan - again, clearly great minds think alike on topic choices! Keep it up.
It is not a huge news for Workhorse, it is a huge news for Lordstown. They are the ones already sold out for year 2021, will start production in 2021, partnering with GM, Samsung and Blackrock. Dump WKHS while it's up and buy DPHC.
