Hi Claire! I actually found your videos when I was applying to transfer to USC from a school in NY after freshman year, and I remember the first time I went back to my old campus after transferring out I honest to God almost left USC and went back. It's definitely SO weird to be at a school you left but it does get easier the more you put down roots at your new school. Good for you recognizing that a school wasn't where you were supposed to be and I hope you're doing well in Florida. After a year and a half at USC I think I'm finally in the mental state to be able to go back to my old school to visit again, I definitely went back too soon the first time lol. This vid made me excited to go back and visit!
Omgggg dude! The same thing happened to me. I visited USC about 2 months after I left and I immediately decided to go back...the only thing that stopped me was covid! Although I was sad in the moment, I know that it happened for a reason because USF is definitely a much better fit for me. Thank you SO much! And I'm happy that you found a home at USC! Good luck if you go back to your old school to visit ❤️❤️❤️
So good to see you and Kenzie together again (: BUT agree with your USF decision all the way
Is usc liek one pf those schools thqt only take ppl who have like straight a's like i usually get lots of a's but some b's mixed in so like it is hard to get in or no?
USC is considered to be a difficult university to get into, but by no means do you HAVE to have straight As! They care more about you as a person and what you will bring to the USC community, so make sure to really highlight your strengths/best qualities in your application. Here is USC's most recently released student profile! about.usc.edu/files/2020/09/First-Year-Student-Profile-2020-Final.pdf
@@claireemercier So like will i have a decent chance of getting in if im like really good at sports or have a good attidude and will bring enthusiasm to the place is that what you mean?
@@mitchellyules3603 I guess what I’m trying to say is that there is no set formula to getting into USC! Grades do matter of course, but having a GPA less than a 4.0 isn't a dealbreaker. USC is a prestigious school and it gets so many applicants with perfect test scores/GPAs - but not all of them get in. Just having good grades/scores won't make you stand out as an applicant. Instead, USC really looks to get to know who you are and what you bring to the table. They are really interested in your passions and achievements, so having a lot of extracurriculars/work experience/volunteer experience/leadership on your application helps a lot. Also, through your essays, it would be really beneficial to talk about what makes you unique. USC is all about diversity and not just in terms of race! For me, I talked about my upbringing in a tiny rural town and how I would bring a unique perspective to campus because most applicants weren't raised in the same environment. It also would've been beneficial for me to talk about my CZcams channel and how I wanted to use it to bring more awareness to USC as a student there. So just think about what makes you unique - no matter how big or how small - and tell USC how you can help them achieve their mission of being a diverse school!
