For the customer, it’s a steal. But for restaurant owners, it's not so simple. So how do these remaining establishments without limits stay in business? I used to love “The Old Country Buffet. “In BayShore Long Island NY .but they closed down .Sad.They had great food great management and a great staff.
Sometimes the food can be bland. High end ones are nice but they don’t really seem to keep the food all that hot. Also, some people worry about sanitation.
Pro tip: Head straight for the meat and skip the beverages.
Beverages are necessary for dry bits and sodium. Otherwise, I usually hit the meats first.

Well, let’s see. You are telling us that the average buffet costs 19 in overhead, and they only charge 20, earning a dollar profit per customer. Do I think people can eat $1.01 worth of extra food? Yup.
Of course that price is for food only. Where they do get you is the tea, lemonade, fountain drinks and coffee while water is free.
Old country buffet included drinks, so does pizza ranch.
