Great review. I am glad you spent time on the interior, especially the 2nd Row, 3rd row and folding down the seats. Really showcases the practicality of the car.
Bobby, thanks for the review. Impressive 3rd row seats and lots of storage space too..... guarantee a winner if you're looking for a MPV👍
I know most complain about the Xpander only having 2 airbags, but all things considered, it's still arguably the best in its segment currently.
If safety features are something to be considered, maybe wait for the next generation Alza to arrive.
this is how car reviews shld b, anyone can easily make better decisions based on these useful infos, rather than knocking on dashboard and complian about hard plastics...
Hi Bobby... Really great to receive your reply, re. Anticipated launch date in Thailand of the refreshed 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander . I always enjoy your reviews, as they are very comprehensive, very detailed and honest. Thank you for your advice, re. the new Xpander. The two Mitsubishi dealers I have approached seem to have no knowledge of the new refresh model and are (ofcourse) very keen to sell me the old one . As advised, I will place my order and be patient... Appreciated... Again, Great CZcams channel... Best wishes, Michael
I drove this car for 12 months, this is really a good car, I have never been such enjoy of driving, there is almost 0 dissatisfaction, the only thing I need to complain about is that the seatbelt head is easily stuck by the car seat when I pull the seatbelt, 2nd thing is the signal light sound too low, you might not hear it if your radio volume is too high.
u can make it louder, the signal sound. go to meter menu.
Love it when premium car otai review this segment. Good.
Despite Mitsubishi's financial issues. Its fan base is huge with a loyal following hence their vehicles have been voted best selling car many times over
Those seats look so comfortable
It’s used to have a very long waiting list, in my case up to 7 months last year. With increase in production numbers, the waiting period is much shorter now.
Hi, would you know the waiting period this year? We have been waiting for almost 2 months now but there is still no ETA yet when the unit will be available. Thanks
we book white colour early june, estimate will get on early nov. others colour maybe 3 4 months? not sure.
Inside the centre console you can find the 12v socket as well
is this or the exora bigger ya? and how did it compare tgt
Unfortunately our Xpander variant dont have 360 Camera in the Philippines.
Hi
Is it will fine for daily drive to work?
The only gripe I have with it is the safety features (or lack thereof) but for the price you can't really complain.
I heard delica will be reintroduced in indonesia with awd.
Hi Bobby. An excellent review. Thank you 🙏. Please will you advise... I live in Thailand and am delaying buying the Xpander Cross until the refresh facelift version (available in Indonesia) is launched in Thailand. Do you know what month this is planned for in late 2022. A sincere thanks.... Michael
I think it will be soon. I currently have no idea yet but you can drop a booking with your Thai dealer first :) of course you have to wait for the refresh!
Any idea why mitsubishi not selling the delica in asean? With non ad blue diesel? It has a massive following worldwide but totally ignored by mitsubishi.
The way u present this car makes me wanna buy it eventough i dun like the overall design
Bobby u totally forgot Sienta u review few years back. For me as a Sienta owner this car is on par with Sienta. Sienta more attractive with sliding doors. Only one minus point is the price because is CBU. As 5 years owner of Sienta zero complaints. ❤️❤️❤️
one more minus point, it is not handsome looking mpv. deswai many less interested in it. even 2nd hand not selling well.
Expander is much bigger than Sienta.
How is the aircon on this Mitsu? Because Mitsu notorious for weak aircon.
Not as cold as Proton but its fine. In hot day I'd blow it at max at front & back for 5 mins, and then 2 or 3 at front and 1-2 back and start driving. Temp knob I usually set it 7/17 and seldom 5/17 - 1 being max cold, 9 in the middle). Overall I think it's as good as (if not slightly better than) BRV. I own both.
below 100K dah berbaloi lah ~
Phone baru ke... 😅
I have test drive it..interior and exterior wise looks pleasing.. But once your are behind the wheel pressing the accelerator.. it is quite dissappointing.. very sluggish to move and pick up speed. Cornering is not to my liking. Looking forward for new alza.
To be fair there's so much you can expect from a small engine put in a 7 seater.
Hopefully it's not as bad as the Rush. That one is really heavy, and it sluggish to the point where its genuinely frightening.
I have a different experience than you after test driving it. Well I have not driven many cars.. most are sedans and they are like 10 yrs car.. and I only drove Alza before for MPV.. I enjoyed test driving Xpander and think it drives very well. Mine will arrive in about a week time.
@@germaineliew2012 yes small engine big car.. price 90kplus.. thus my feedback on sluggish performance...for comparison worth waiting for alza.
@khairul annuar A Hamid The new Avanza does seem to be a bit lighter than the Xpander. Although engine performance on paper seems to be matched, can't wait to see how it turns out.
But since the next Alza isn't here yet, the Xpander is the one to beat in this segment currently.
@@germaineliew2012 heard alza will be launch after raya.watched indonesian review on xenia/alza, seems good despite rear design not pretty. Might as well i wait for it for better selection for me later. Just Hope the price wont increase so much
Mitsu malaysia update to facelifted xpander pls.cvt, lever handbrake, touch ac controllers.if possible put more airbags and put eclipse cross 1.5 turbo engine
Long distance ok fuel save no doubt, but short distance or town driving really oil consuming laa... Engine 1.5 with big body, u can guess laa Kan...
I drove this car for 12 months, the fuel consumption is almost the same as my previous car Proton Saga 1.3, even maybe more saver....but the joy of driving, totally cannot compete...Xpander is really a good car.
i daily one to school. average 15 km per litre. full tank can last a week.
Absolutely true..i felt the same too
Pity it doesn't get a sliding door. I know it will drive the cost up but it would be the last pc to the puzzle
To me, for coming in with dual airbags only is a bummer. If active safety features are a little bit expensive, passive ones like the airbags should be available. Hope they update with more airbags.
@@luqmanhakimi910 100% agree with you, at least give 4 airbags. 2 airbags, really kedekut.
the name of this car reminds me of spander. the slang we malaysians use for our underwear lol
During its concept phase, the car was named the "XM".
They probably should've called the final product that as well.
That huge physical handbrake is so ugly. And 2 airbags for a 7 seater? Wow, class leading in safety.
All looks good until the no of airbags available in this car 😢
Yup. That is something. I think people wouldn't mind paying extra if safety features are set as priorities.
Impressive exterior.
Dated, and boring interior.
it looks like a car from 2007 tbh. so outdated interior design
It's built to a cost for a particular market after all.
For people who just needs a car to haul their family around, it's perfectly functional. Not like its criminally underequipped or anything.
@@germaineliew2012 dont tell me they cant even provide digital aircond settings😂 its not just that, the dashboard design and layout is so peng and idealess. People would only consider buying this car due to its price tbh
@Tishen Digital but I doubt they'll give you auto climate control.
Nothing else in this segment is much better either.
