    for our friends at the New Orleans Jazz Museum on the occasion of International Day of Jazz 2024!!!
    “Caravan” (Latin Jazz Adaptation) is a fusion of Latin rhythms including guaguancó, salsa, and jazz swing,
    reimagining the classic tune with a vibrant twist. Recorded at Point Studio and produced by Carlos Marcelo,
    this rendition pays homage to the original, while infusing it with a fresh, Latin-inspired energy. The
    arrangement, conceived by Carlos Marcelo and Oscar Michelli, breathes new life into the timeless melody,
    reflecting a vision that originated in 2012 to fusion traditional jazz with Latin concepts.
    The Carlos Marcelo Jazz Collective is made up by Carlos Marcelo (Piano); Sebastian Mueses (Double bass);
    William Tavarez (Drums); José E.P. Montano (Tenor Saxophone); Máximo Nuñez (Trumpet); Hugo Narvaez
    (Trombone); Marco (Titi) Chacha (Percussion).

    nuestros amigos del New Orleans Jazz Museum con motivo del Día Internacional del Jazz 2024!!
    “Caravan” (Latin Jazz Adaptation) es una fusión de ritmos latinos que incluyen guaguancó, salsa y jazz swing,
    que reinventa la melodía clásica con un toque vibrante. Grabado en Point Studio y producido por Carlos
    Marcelo, esta interpretación rinde homenaje al original, al tiempo que le infunde una energía fresca de
    inspiración latina. El arreglo, concebido por Carlos Marcelo y Oscar Michelli, da nueva vida a la melodía
    atemporal, reflejando una visión que se originó en 2012 de fusionar el jazz tradicional con conceptos latinos.
    El Marcelo Jazz Collective está conformado por Carlos Marcelo (Piano); Sebastian Mueses (Contrabajo);
    William Tavarez (Batería); José E.P. Montano (Saxofón tenor); Máximo Nuñez (Trompeta); Hugo Narvaez
    (Trombón); Marco (Titi) Chacha (Percusión).

    Carlos Marcelo´s Bio:
    Carlos Marcelo is a renowned jazz musician with an extensive career in Santo Domingo, capital city of the
    Dominican Republic, and the eastern part of the country, covering locations such as Punta Cana and La
    Romana. Since 1999, he has captivated audiences on Mediterranean cruises and led music at prestigious
    venues such as the Romana Country Club and Casa Mono in New York. In 2009, he assumed the position of
    Musical Director at Carnival Cruise Lines, bringing his art to various Caribbean countries. Upon his return, he
    founded Tonka Entertainment, a leading company in audiovisual services and public and private shows. His
    solid musical training includes studies at the Dominican Academy of Music with Edith Hernandez, as well as
    at the National Conservatory, where he specialized in modern harmony under the tutelage of Professor Gustavo
    Rodriguez. His music has left an indelible mark on renowned venues, from Casa de Teatro to Fiesta Sunset
    Jazz, the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater and the traditional Jazz at The Rock, held annually in Altos de
    Chavon.
