People saying they were joking around obviously don’t know these fighters. You can blame the person who booked this fight if you didn’t like it. Their styles were complete opposites. No one’s going to put themselves in a bad position just to make the fans enjoy the fight more.

He was trying to bait his opponent. Imanari is a very humble guy. He certainly didn't underestimate him, he just wanted to get him mad so he would mess up.

I like BJJ, but some of these guys are extremely annoying. They suddenly lie on the floor and taunt you lol. Yeah, do that in the streets. If the guy lies on purpose, the rules should allow the other fighter to kick and hit him normally.

Pretty sad how many people in these comments have no appreciation for the martial arts mastery on display here. Imanari, well into his 40's, is still basically nullifying highly dangerous opponents in the prime of their careers. That is just amazing.

ground grappling works only if fighter engages in ground. In real combat situation , ground is the last place one would want to be in. The one on ground will be dispatched with stick , sword etc. ground grappling still have its place in combat scenario.
