Oh! This is SO interesting! I wrote about Pollyanna for my dissertation and have lots of thoughts on the story! And thoughts on reasons for certain things! The Book is quite different to the movies! Also the mug is so cute. Pollyanna followed a lot of the similar 'formula' for a girls book of the times. And so you can see lot of similarities to The Secret Garden (released at the same time) and other books such as Little women, What Katy Did, Heidi and others!
