3:40 this dude really armed himself and clocked that lil monkey in the head bro I can’t💀💀
He got the drop on him
the people there are doing divine work. Much respect for their dedication, perseverance and love
alright work
Lone' Droeshler Nielsen Rocks! Nyaru Menteng Rocks!!
they have the best job in the world
Would be better if they didn't have a job to do at all wouldn't it? Its only because of people killing them in the wild and destroying their habitat
Orangutans are my new favourite animal. They're so adorable, smart and characterful.
I loved it when he beat the macaque with the stick. Heehee
Macaques are so annoying.
3:36 that little plop onto the ground is absolutely adorable
The way they cling too the babysitters melts my heart. I would work for free just too work there.
Many zoos have volunteer work. See of there are any in your area.
In exchange for free fook with da monkeys
I just love the way they protect and love eachother not just their own babies or mate but their friends, cousins, classmates.. and just any orang who looks like he can use some help 🥺
Hercules sitting there like "I know you're talking about me."
I laughed so hard when Marley swung the branch at the little monkeys 😂😂
Even though apparently the Chimp brain is ever so slightly larger, it appears the Chimp is burdened with incredibly fear and aggression. It seems that overall Orangutan is more intelligent because it can think more calmly as a result of being less aggressive and less fearful.
Chimps seem to be more prone to psychopathic behavior. With such close dna to them, humans can likely learn a lot about some of our mental illnesses by studying chimps. On the flip side, orangutans seem to encompass our empathetic, community-minded traits.
holy crap 200 of them. that’s amazing. how many baby sitters are there. sad that there are that many orphans though
ikr !
I’m sure dozens of them. The infant orangs need round the clock care/supervision so I’m sure they stay busy. It looks like an amazing job though. I’d love to go spend a few months over there volunteering at a rescue center.
If I recall correctly they had well over 635 orangutans at one point. Babysitters averaged 8 infants at a time in baby school alone and more when they went to kindergarten in the jungle
And a total of 600 orangutans waiting to be released when space and a place is found!
I agree. After watching primate videos for 7 years, in general, the orangutans definitely have the ability of more intelligence over gorillas & chimps. They are more laid back & less aggressive.
Bonobos get featured much less than regular chimps, are much less aggressive, and group orientated. Maybe too close to looking like a hairy human, than a cute wild animal.
@@niallrussell7184 Correct about the Bonobos (not featured) & I wonder why that is?? 🤔 Even Monkey World doesn't have any. Gonna look that up.
@@niallrussell7184
I know! I've always been interested in great apes but never knew that bonobos existed until I was in my 30s! As a kid growing up in the 60s and 70s I recall that movies and television presented gorillas as aggressive and scary but just about every children's show or sitcom had at least one episode with a chimp. Back then chimps were presented as cute and cuddly little people, and I think that's true prior to puberty but it was a real shock in the 80s and 90s when we started to see that mature chimps can be scary as hell and dangerously aggressive, but gorillas much less so. And then to find out after all those years that TV and movies had completely ignored bonobos!
@@susiesweet8003 Like Chimps, Bonobos are an endangered species. Maybe there are just not enough to go around.
Orangutans deserve a greater amount of respect from humans
Orangutans are my favorite apes. I love them for their intelligence.
3:48 B O N K
“That’ll teach em’”
I am so amazed by the work these people do every day! 💕
Baby orangutans are simply adorable. It’s terrible they are losing their mothers to ignorant humans. Thank goodness for these caring people who are dedicated to their survival.
Not ignorant humans
Can you do follow up on Hercules, how's he coping with freedom after years of being locked in a small metal cage.......my heart aches for Hercules, his eyes tell a story,it's like they know
It disturbed me.
It's alarming that our wildlife is under increasingly severe threat from loss of habitat.
Money and greed
Lipstick and perfume, Unilever and Palmolive are two of the crooks in this game. Food manufacturing is a vital part in harvesting wild forests.
@@itbelikethat6579 well said. 💯🙌🏾
Pray that palm oil cultivation help in extinction of this useless parasites
I know exactly how they feel I have been in prison before and ever since I don't look at animals in cages the same you see them looking out at a freedom they cant have you see them longing to be on the other side and I know all to well what that feeling is like sometimes you just want to break down please don't keep your animals in cages they have a mind they know that they aren't free I can see it in their eyes they are much more intelligent than we realize you would never want to feel that helpless feeling trust me I can't even describe that feeling there aren't words to describe it
Do they have banana’s in prison?
@@pogchamppoggers6368 Well yes they do
Hope you are doing OK. 👍🥰☘️🇮🇪
I agree 💯 wish others would pull their heads out their butts and realize...
Agreed. The best gift for an animal=their rights.
Those epic clips make my days better & brighter.
Youe so cringy
Orang Utan means Person of the Forest. They really are like us, with emotions and culture. I consider any harm to them to be just as bad as harm to a Human.
Agreed. Unforunately most humans are arrogant morons and are entirely unaware that we share the planet with many other sentiant species. From a bee hive which is collectively self aware but not very bright, to the large whales who are smarter then us, and many gradations in between.
Aww, bless them, these apes are so cute and peaceful, thank goodness people take good care of them.
Yes, I agree with you~ 🤗👍
They’ll also tear your arms clean off your torso if they’re in a bad mood.
@@jabroni6199 No they don't
@@evenaleksanderlorch-falch4837 yes they will.
Only chimpanzees bonobos and orangutas are peaceful@@jabroni6199
This just shows how closely we are related to them in that it takes years to learn just like us. Humans are after all Great Apes as well.
Orangutans look really big and slow, but they can be really fast and furious. I once was chased by one in the jungle.
Really 😭😭🤣🤣🤣 how did u get out of this situation 🤣
nice to hear from you
@@rosegold973 you can go out from the forest where there are no trees
They're not really fast on land
Wow....
@@rosegold973 by climbing a tree!
I'd love to work with these animals. So cute.
Amazing work and much appreciated. So grateful 🙏
Macacks: *bite orangutang*
Orangutang: **I CAST STICK**
6:56 Hercules looks like, "Now, why are you petting like a dog? I'm an intelligent gentleman 👀"
These animal-people are so cute. They're my favorite ape, humans are a close second.
As much as Chimps are prime candidates for the stone age, I like how peaceful Orangs are.
While i can't be sure what was actually going on...I once saw someone do quite an athletic slip and fall in front of 2 orangutans. They started laughing before I could, but as the poor woman who'd fallen rolled to her side holding herself in pain the apes became concerned. Now, anthropomorphism is what it is, but I swear they seemed...embarrassed for their laughter, or maybe just regretting it...they did know and like the woman who had fallen.
Their learning through observations and practices is amazing…. 🤗👍
And yes, learning at school is exhausting as well. (2:25) 😅
The saddest thing I've ever seen was that Orangutan being knocked off one of the last remaining trees by a bulldozer wiping out it's habitat.
It was a David Attenborough documentary btw.
Yes, you are right... 😪😪
nice to hear from you
That is "SIR" David Attenborough.
Lone Dröscher Nielsen makes me proud of being danish.
She does an amazing job in trying to save the lives of the Orangutans.
Watching orangutans and learning new British idioms ("Pinched" = steal, "Make it out of a paper bag" = weak or incompetent, etc).
Can't day what's better, orangutans weilding sticks, or that they get moved about in wheelbarrows.
I’d love to know what version of Baywatch that ladies been watching where men are kidnapping and dragging women up and down the beach against their will...😂
Hercules, the giant Orang Utan is sooooo cute!!!
You couldn’t pay me to walk anywhere near Hercules. That woman has a serious set of stones.
Don’t worry little one. I’ve had my confidence shaken by bigger kids at school, too.
Did anyone ask
@@jackspencer5847 The world doesnt revolve around you, nobody had to ask
@@justinetinsman4965 no they dont but if youre gonna post something should it be not so personal and cringy and the world does revolve me because im the best lol

Watching this like many times, but still exciting ❤️👍🏽
In fact, nature has made the world a lot more beautiful, every living being is equal to each other, everyone has the right to live life in his own way, but humans walk the opposite path of nature.
Not really the opposite. Our hierachy demands money to sort out the alphas, the bigger the pack, the bigger the need. Jealousy and greed are the biggest problems in modern society.
They are amazing creatures...
OMG! They’re so incredibly endearing! ❤️
C'mon!
We need Part 3 here! ☺
I'm glad I clicked on this one. Very well done!
Thank you BBC Earth....👍👍
Thanks SO MUCH
If Hercules can't much use his hands and feet, why's the lady afraid of him grabbing her? He's basically immobile.
3:45 lmao savage orannguboi
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh just love my little orangutango monkeys, so cuteeee
God bless to everyone who made this happened! Well done!. You’re work is appreciated ❤️
I share your sentiment, even though I'm not a Christian myself (I believe God shows themselves in the beauty of nature and it cannot be condensed in a book).
I WISH humanity would learn more kindness to all creatures
What a magnificent animal control hercules is WOW!
That's why I don't enjoy orangutan documentaries. They are SO MUCH like us that I really don't get the feeling of watching an "animal" documentary , honestly !
I forgot all the hardness of this world after visiting BBC earth at evening.
I am so in love with handsome Hercules! What a beautiful soul he is. Prayers to you, my darling.
Those baby orangutans in a wheelbarrow was hilarious.
I’ve been watching these Orang videos and find it disturbing there are so many orphans. That is so sad but I admire what all these workers are doing to try and save the Orangs.
i was indonesian, on 3:14 the keepers are saying that he fall or fight with a monkey.
this moments looks very nice and all animals know survive!
Now these are some smart Monkes and I am full of approveingness so I approve.
Yes they are smart but they are not monkeys
@@djquinn11 they said monke not monke *Y*
These are apes not monkeys
1:57 so beautiful! with that music playing : )
So lovely life and happy life they have
It is so sad that so much of Borneo and
Sumatra are being destroyed to provide palm oil for so many products
3:47...“That’s for Robert!...Now get your bubble gum asses out of here!”
I would love to volunteer here omg these orangutans are so cute😍😍😍
7:34 Me too, Hercules. Me too.
👍 nice job ❤️
2:15 aww looks so cute.
Beautiful views of taking care of the orangutan baby love just like we do so I hope you take care of them❤❤❤
“Nobody’s first day at school” I bet I wasn’t the only one
same i saw nobody first
Immediate google search: How to become an orangutan nanny?
What fabulous animals!
This is so cute 🥰
Ending Song: "Whirlpool Galaxy" by Chris Warner. Thank you Shazam.
Yeah that was a nice little liquid DnB!!
Do you have a follow up video on Hercules?
Thank you guys for doing what you do , on behalf of the good humans everywhere thank you and God bless you , for what you do , it is our duty to protect these precious and intelligent primates, not to have them scared of humans, but we need to help them evolve because that is what they are doing as we live and breath right in front of our eyes! For a primate to already have the foundation for evolution we must encourage it !
Wonderful vignettes. Waaayyy too many commercials.
My favorite great ape.
God bless all of you
I would love this job
вы очень хорошие люди❤❤❤
I hope Hercules will be released to Antarctica where he can roam freely
3.49 just Beautifull
Who FUNDS this? Whoever it is, they are SAINTS
Wow!
The baby origotans are so cute
Who like orangutans to?
It's so sad we live in a world where animals that are meant to be wild, free and thriving in their natural environment have to be hunted or killed for financial gain and then the ones left behind have to be cared for by rescue groups, zoos etc just so they can be safe and try to have a life😢
Orangutans are beast
Why was the orangutan defending themselves from macaques so funny. He just jumps and plops and just so nonchalantly swings a stick
how do you start todo this as a job , I am trying to find how and where but I can't find anything or even the name for such job .
Quebec/ Montreal here.
Save the forests, save the Orangutan!
you had Herc in cage too long and he knows it
woah!
Where is Part 3?
My important advice to Orangutans: Don't evolve too much, that's enough for you, now you are enjoying your life but when you become human, your life will suck!!
their life sucks much more
Good
My two year old would notice paint on her head…
It’s like the governments of Borneo and Sumatra (and the governments of importing countries) have no control over how their rainforests are clearcut. No where else on Earth where these orangutans can survive on their own, and still the slash and burn continues.
