When was the last time someone gave you direct (potentially painful) coaching? How have you applied that coaching since?

Right in this episode, I saw Pastor Craig taking notes. It hit me (like a slap in the face) that I was not placing appropriate value on this podcast episode because I had made no effort to take application notes.
If someone I look up to is taking notes, what on earth am I doing by not taking notes. How can I even think I'll get the best out of this opportunity without treating it as a privilege?

The insight that sales and leadership require understanding and meeting needs is spot on. A key tactic for entrepreneurs is to apply the 'Jobs to be Done' framework when engaging with leads-instead of just selling a product, focus on the progress a customer is trying to make in a given circumstance. This shifts the conversation from features to the customer's story, often leading to better conversion rates and customer satisfaction.

This was great! I loved learning about leadership in sales since I've never experienced that side myself. Commission based that is. You know its interesting though because I see some qualities that refelct this is my leaders so that is great to be able to see that gold in them as something to learn from too. The part about "tell, sell, yell" spoke to me. This is an area I need to grow in! Also the "ask, listen, learn then take action" part was impactful to me. As always, thank you for sowing into us as leaders!

Dale Canegie's Relationship Selling course really helped me to see sales from a different perspective. A lot the things talked about in this interview made me think of what I learned. Great interview!

I've been through those microagressions in the field of architecture. There are very few black women and it's hard for me to want to take on a leadership role because of it. It's too intimidating and exhausting to even imagine.

Hi Craig I am a pastor running a church in RSA. You spoke a lot on following numbers. Like how many people per Sunday, how much money month, but what other numbers do you track or use as input in order to track your analytically. Hope this question makes sense. Moat churches only track those 2 numbers and it is hard to look at the numbers when you only have 2 metrics

Life church please hear these words, our Lord has never approved our place of worship to be used as a place to profit. No person should gain from his sheep, the head of the church should be a shepherd not a Wolf (business man). Jesus has warned us that there would be wolf in sheep’s clothing that we should be looking out for. Our Lord Jesus flipped tables of the exchangers who were profiting upon the weak. It was a scheme that the Jews used in the temple then and our Christian church is no exception to be falling into these traps. Be wary to who shepherds you. Praise the LORD but do not let the environment of emotion fool the spirit, it is of the flesh. Their use of creating an environment of emotion is great, but it leads the sheep to let their guard down. I’ve been to the services before where they use the music to ramp emotional stimulation up and give weak doctrine. You feel spiritual fullness for short period but when you enter the real world you feel empty. Find a shepherd who fulfills you with spiritual food not an artificial filler. Salvation is not just praying a prayer. May the truth set you free! All love my fellow Christian’s!
