Caleb is unironically and objectively THE most improved character in all the reboot cast in Season 2. Bar none. The fact that people hate on him so hard is mind-boggling to me. I'm also so glad that they didn't make him a villain just because he's a strategic pretty boy. We already had our fill of those with Justin and Alejandro, we didn't need another.
same here. I like how he's one of the more "normal" contestants of this cast and is genuinely a nice guy. People constantly mischaracterize him as some manipulative asshole when that's not the case at all? Dude just wanted an alliance, a strategy that any good contestant would use. Go watch Alejandro if you want to see actual manipulation.

@@8nicopink868 ikr he literally just has terrible communication skills & is dense that’s it lol. Guy’s a total powerhouse and is by far one of the most strongest players in the game AND is pretty nice (he saved Julia’s LIFE!!). Makes me sad that none of his team really supported him in the finale 😔
i dont really hate caleb but the relationship made me think less of priya, caleb didnt really grew up on me,i think he is alright. the only "complaint" i have with him is just him not able to doublecross julia, like mf dont you love priya? ik it fits him but it still feels so weird
Ok,as Caleb hater,here is why I hate him: -his personality was really inconsistent. In episodes 1-5 he was another evil pretty charecter who was just using Priya for an alliance and to make it further. But then in the later episodes,he is suddenly not manipulative,and actually cares about Priya. I would close my eyes on that,if in episode 12 and onwards they didn't try to make him look like perfection. And the whole "my grandma told me to never lie to people" thing just contradicts to what he was doing in the 1st 5 episodes. -prileb is toxic. Priya acted like Caleb isnt allowed to be in any other alliance except for the alliance with her. And in the last 2 episodes,she just cared about winning and not about Caleb. -Caleb is extremely boring. Do I even need to explain this one? Even the show acknowledged that. -Even tho his personality from episodes 1-5 was better than onwards,it was still terrible. His whole personality there was just "I want to make alliance with Priya". It went so horribly he didnt even interact with his own team members. Like tell me one time Caleb interacted with anyone else on his team except for the finale and yeeting Nichelle. -Even after episode 5,his whole personality is still Priya. Even in his only solo episode (episode 9) he was still thinking of Priya. And that was annoying. -He really overstayed his welcome. He shouldn't have been a finalist imo. Julia just gave Caleb immunity to make more unnecessary drama and keep their pets in. Especially when there is the more strategic and obvious action of giving Damien immunity to split up one of the duos. -In conclusion,Caleb's whole personality rn is being in a toxic relationship with Priya and that his personality is inconsistent. He overstayed his welcome and was really boring.
Another thing which is less strictly Caleb but still involves him is how predictable his “arc,” was. The moment Zee learned of his seduction plan it became painfully obvious that they would: 1: Get together. 2: Zee reveals the truth. 3: Priya gets mad. 4: Caleb tries to apologize. 5: Priya forgives him eventually. What I didn’t predict was that the creator thought it was a good idea to basically repeat those steps again by introducing his deal with Julia.
I mean Caleb is not a character I hate. Did he overstay? Yes, but it also makes sense. He's obviously a strong player who would make far. That's exactly the reason why Bowie took him out first in S1. Personally, I would've prefered him and Priya to get out around 6th and 5th place. We can all agree there was no reason to make Priya make the final 4 again and her and Caleb felt too codependent. Overall, Caleb was a decent character, like a 7-8/10, but him winning/making finals was quite predictable and I wish it was someone like Damien instead.
