We are back with another starter home today, this time we are in the world of Del Sol Valley. We are going to revisit this house 3 times and develop it even further in the future! ENJOY!

In Los Angeles that’s a $1.2 mil forever home
Seeeeriously! Even in the neighborhood I grew up (which is not the nicest), a 2 bedroom 1 bath stand alone house goes for $1.2 mil... Absolutely ridiculous 😭
From someone born and raised in LA, this looks like it’s straight out of South Central Los Angeles 👏
There is a large Mexican community there (including my grandmother), maybe the sim that lives here is Mexican and introduces more vibrant colors and plants as they upgrade?
That back porch looks like EA did it bless. 2 plant pots & a bench is their m.o. Excited to see the other houses though
You can put a trim on the base of the roof for free. If you choose a thicker trim and place it near the bottom of the roof, it will create a visible trim without needing to build a room under the roof or buying a spandrel. While you can't bulldoze it away if you change your mind, you can change it to a thinner trim and it'll disappear. You can also do free ceiling paint with the default concrete on the ceiling in different colors.
I grew up in a working class neighborhood in LA so this made me feel so nostalgic (especially since I've moved away from home). You did such a great job getting the vi~be! Love this 🥰
Born and raised in Los Angeles and this is so on point!! I had lots of family live in homes just like this one and I'm so excited to see the remaining two. I love all of your builds and they comprise most of the lots in my personal save file so thank you my darling for tackling this annoying lot in Del Sol for us!!

Aden, you are the only Simmer I know that can build a starter home with such finesse, and still have it look lovely. You are truly talented.
I can't explain why, but this video made me appreciate my house so much. I started thinking about the entire concept of starter home and realized my husband and I have a wonderful one. Thank you for the build and I'm excited for the next versions!

I do agree about very limited furniture in starter homes. It does work well.(👏👏👏) May I ask if you would consider doing a starter duplex build for us - a money generating property for an actress or actor. A mini small home with maybe a studio apartment below or attic (as an idea.) As always love your builds.

I had a similar idea. For a single lot to build a neighborhood. I have it just not 'for rent's yet. I made one on a 64 by 64.
I love this! I often download starter houses then find there is nospace for new pictures or anything else you might want to add as they earn. So the bare walls and emptier rooms is LOVELY! ...now make me a tiny home please !

Sounds like Northwest Indiana weather too! It was high 60s (Fahrenheit) one day. And snowing the next. I’m sick of it. It’s been the coldest spring break my kids have had in a long while.

I think these actually were supposed to be 3 separate lots but EA didn’t give the devs enough time to finish before release. Del Sol Valley could’ve been a great world because of its LA inspiration but alas 😪
I know sims isn’t meant to be realistic but can you imagine EA starter homes in real life? Depressing 😢
