- One with the Tanpura , a weekly series, as the name suggests is just the Tanpura and us!
The next release in the series, Rama Neela Megha Shyama, a very popular Telugu composition, in the Ragam Yamuna Kalyani, and set to Adi Thalam.

The original song of this rendition was sung by my father late Padmashri Eelapata Raghuramiah, a versatile singer, actor from Telugu Film industry and Stage. He's also known as Whistle Whizard for his unique style of singing melodious music by whistle. For this he used to place his folded right index finger on top of his tongue. Like one plays a wind instruement, he used to use air vibrations to create melodius music. One of the most popular titles he has among the many that he earned during his lifetime was "Andhra Bala Gandharva". He is a singer par excellence. He is the first actor to portray the Lord Krishna's character in the Telugu Film Industry prior to Sri.N.T.R taking up the mantle from him in the ever green hit Telugu film MAYA BAZAR. He was awarded the title "NIGHTINGALE OF ANDHRA STAGE" BY THE GREAT POET SRI RAVINDRANATH TAGORE after listening to his music and his versatile style of singing by whistle - the most unique gift given to him by god.

Sir it is Eelapaata. This sobriquet was earned by him due to his unique god gifted talent to sing through whistle. In Telugu 'Eela' means whistle and 'paata' means song. As he became very popular for his melodious music by this means or style, he earned the title Eelapaata. He had the distinction of acting Telugu mythological play "Sri Krishna Tulabharam" for two Presidents of India namely Sri.S.V.Radha Krishnan and Sri.V.V.Giri at Rashrapati Nilayam. He also had the honor of meeting the previous Prime Ministers of India namely Sri.Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and Smt.Indira Gandhi during their tenure at their residence and sang music and Eelapaata for them.

Divine. But just wish the words are pronounced rightly🙏
Excellent singing but rendition of the language needs to be looked into especially stress on the second consonants as in Raghu (రఘు)it is not Ragu( రగు), simillarly SarvaBhauma (సార్వభౌమ) it is not Sarvabauma (సార్వభౌమ), paramdhama (పరంధామ) not paramdama (పరందామ). You are excellent singers, internationally renowned but a small effort here would help you further
