Modern gypsies. Oh to be on the road. The settled life is good, up to a point. But to be a gypsy for a time is so, so, good. Forget about the pint; in the dampness and cold I would have a brandy, or two. Get some Dulse too (seaweed for those who do not know). I ate a whole bag of it once with a bar of really good Irish chocolate; not a good idea; ended up with the mother of all stomach aches. The chips are awesome; the soda bread is awesome. The food is all awesome; fresh, fresh. The choice of potatoes; boiled; chips; roasted; new potatoes are best; so good it is possible to make a meal of them. Oh heaven, Ireland is a good substitute for heaven closer to the original than any place else on earth. Just dress warm and enjoy.
